🌳 In The Great Luddenden Picnic’s third year, we’re thrilled to announce we’ve raised nearly £1,000 for St Mary's in Luddenden! 🌳

We have some very big thank yous to share:

🌳 To the wonderful public and community who came out to support our church!

☀️ To the amazing team who erected (and will dismantle!) the marquees — no small task.

🌳 To Matthew Hayes and Susie Bloomfield for their brilliant music and for truly saving the day – we’ve had so many lovely messages about you both again this year!

☀️ To Kevin & The Stevettes for compering and running our fantastic sound system.

🌳 To everyone who donated to our raffle and the ever-popular cake stall.

☀️ To Luddenden Mayor’s Fund (especially John & Sue Saxton) — without your knowledge, equipment, and sheer skill, this event simply wouldn’t happen.

☀️ To Andrea and Luddendenfoot Academy PTFA for the brilliant upstairs golf course.

🌳 To St Mary’s Coffee Drop-In for funding the lovely crafting activities.

☀️ To Lord Nelson Inn Luddenden Village for opening early and keeping the parish well entertained into the night!

🌞 TWO days to go until The Great Luddenden Picnic – and it’s going to be a scorcher… 28°C and sunshine all day! ☀️

Here are 4 top tips to keep cool while enjoying the fun:
🧢 Bring a hat – shade is your best friend!
💧 Stay hydrated – The Lord Nelson will be open early and the church will also have tea, coffee & soft drinks on sale.
🧴 Don’t forget suncream – reapply regularly.
🌳 Find some shade – chill out under the trees between activities!
