Today it has been announced that I will be leaving St John & St Hilda later in the summer.

It has been a big decision to make and we will be sad to say “goodbye” to our wonderful church family. We feel a strong calling to this post and all of the new ministry opportunities that it brings.

Please pray for Aidan and I just as we pray for St John & St Hilda’s parish.

This afternoon we had the exciting unveiling of a piece of artwork commissioned by the PCC to be situated in the Whitby Room as a commemoration of the hundreds of people that have been part of the life and ministry of the church and who have gone out into the wider community.

We heard from Mehreen and Mariam about their plans for the building as the next generation join the procession. The inter-faith walk joined us and we were able to celebrate God’s faithfulness throughout the generations and into the future.

Our grateful thanks to Paul Czainski for the wonderful job that he has done of this unusual commission.
