For some reason, the scheduled Pentecost post didn’t go live. I’m so sorry!!
So here is Pentecost +2!
Pentecost is the moment the church moved from waiting to walking, from fear to power, from gathered to sent. It is the day ordinary people became bold witnesses.
It is the day the church was born.
And it all began in an upper room with a group of believers who were simply waiting for the promise of Jesus.
Acts 1:8 says:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…”
Jesus didn’t tell them to go until He first told them to wait.
Pentecost reminds us that God equips before He sends.
Many believers today feel the same tension — wanting to serve God but feeling underqualified, overwhelmed, or unsure. Pentecost teaches us that God never asks us to do His work without His power.
Before Pentecost, Peter denied Jesus to a servant girl.
After Pentecost, he preached to thousands with courage and clarity.
What changed?
Not Peter’s personality — Peter’s power source.
The Holy Spirit.
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of Pentecost — for the wind that fills us, the fire that purifies us, and the Spirit who empowers us. Today we remember that the same power that moved in the upper room is still moving in Your people.
Lord, let Your Spirit fall on us again.
Fill every empty place.
Revive every weary heart.
Ignite every calling that has grown dim.
Make us bold witnesses in our homes, our workplaces, and our communities.
Holy Spirit, guide our steps, shape our words, and strengthen our faith.
Where there is fear, bring courage.
Where there is division, bring unity.
Where there is weakness, bring power.
Where there is hesitation, bring holy confidence.
As we leave this place, let us carry the fire of Pentecost with us — not as a memory, but as a mission.
Send us out with compassion, conviction, and clarity.
Let Your presence go before us, Your power work within us, and Your glory shine through us.
Come, Holy Spirit.
Fill Your church again.
Use us for Your kingdom and Your glory.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
