We hope everyone is keeping well in the current temperatures during the 5th heatwave of the summer!🔥Most experts are putting the number of heatwaves and wildfires down to climate change and now the evidence is here.

In light of this, we will be holding a viewing of 'The People's Emergency Briefing' 🎥 on Tuesday the 1st of September at 7.30pm (free entry) followed by a discussion led by our local councillors James Lark, Steve Crisp, food expert Dr Howard Lee and Richard Hopkinson from St Mary’s.

The film builds upon the National Emergency Briefing held in Westminster during November 2025 where evidence on the current climate and nature crisis was presented to politicians and discussed. The film was created to explore what the crisis means for our food security, health, economy, and future. Come and join us for the viewing, drinks🥃, nibbles 🥨and, a chat!
