A call for reports of answered prayers
A new major UK monument to answered prayers, a 51-metre high landmark, including one million bricks, is being constructed In Coleshill, near Birmingham. Each brick will tell a story digitally of Jesus answering prayer. Visible from six miles away, it will be the largest database of answered prayer in the world. Construction started in November 2025 and will be completed and open in 2028.

Christian organisations in the UK and beyond have been asked to contribute by providing anonymised answers to prayers. The new venture will provide an exciting new database of answered prayers from across the world, and become a major visitor landmark and attraction.

An open invitation to an Evening of Praise

Following the success of the Praise in the Park events during the summer, Inverclyde Christian Initiative is holding a special ‘Evening of Praise’ event in Greenock Baptist church in St Andrew Square in Greenock on Saturday 31st October now starting at 7pm.

The evening will include contributions from a Community Brass Band, the church’s Ladies Choir, the Mount Kirk Praise Group, the St Andrew Square Shanty Singers, the ICI Praise Band, and a Street Pastor testimony, while the Lord Provost will talk about on 'The Provost and the Church' and the speaker will be the church’s minister Paul Coventry.
This is a free event, with all very welcome, while donations will be for the continuing work of the initiative.

On behalf of ICI, Chris Jewell said, ‘We are all delighted to bring this event about and look forward to a special evening of praise to the One who can calm every storm and bring hope to us all.’

Carols at Cappielow is back.!13th December from 4pm to 5pm with tea and coffee beforehand from 3.30pm. Over the years this has been a great occasion to celebrate the coming of Jesus and please come and join us whether a believer or not. Thanks are due to the football club for the use of their manin stand.

As term begins and Bible Alive lessons hopefully get going within the next few weeks, we wanted to let you know the dates when we're planning to gather on Zoom to pray for Bible Alive. As before, we're planning to alternate between Tuesday evenings and Wednesday afternoons, and we hope you're able to join us at some point, whether it's just for one meeting or you can come to them all.

Praise in the Park; Sunday 9th August
Battery Park, Greenock 3pm to 4pm

Some 120 people gathered at the Battery Park in July in great sunshine to be a part of the Praise in the Park event there with great feedback. The second Praise in the Park event takes place in the Battery Park on Sunday 9th August, again from 3pm to 4pm. Bring a fold up chair or deck chair for easy seating.

Everyone is welcome and the praise band will again lead some great singing and there will be a life story and a chance for those present to hear about Jesus and His call on their lives and how He can help. Special guests will come again in the shape of a number of puppets to sing along to which went down very well indeed with those attending the July event.
