Carols at Cappielow is back.!13th December from 4pm to 5pm with tea and coffee beforehand from 3.30pm. Over the years this has been a great occasion to celebrate the coming of Jesus and please come and join us whether a believer or not. Thanks are due to the football club for the use of their manin stand.

As term begins and Bible Alive lessons hopefully get going within the next few weeks, we wanted to let you know the dates when we're planning to gather on Zoom to pray for Bible Alive. As before, we're planning to alternate between Tuesday evenings and Wednesday afternoons, and we hope you're able to join us at some point, whether it's just for one meeting or you can come to them all.

Praise in the Park; Sunday 9th August
Battery Park, Greenock 3pm to 4pm

Some 120 people gathered at the Battery Park in July in great sunshine to be a part of the Praise in the Park event there with great feedback. The second Praise in the Park event takes place in the Battery Park on Sunday 9th August, again from 3pm to 4pm. Bring a fold up chair or deck chair for easy seating.

Everyone is welcome and the praise band will again lead some great singing and there will be a life story and a chance for those present to hear about Jesus and His call on their lives and how He can help. Special guests will come again in the shape of a number of puppets to sing along to which went down very well indeed with those attending the July event.

Election hustings this Thursday bring out the candidates

The local SNP, Conservative and Labour candidates for this year’s Scottish Parliamentary elections will all be present and take part in the election hustings being held this Thursday in the Lyle Kirk in Union Street, Greenock at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. The Liberal and Reform candidates are at other events that evening and they are sending representatives in their place. The event has been organised by Inverclyde Christian Initiative and Lyle Kirk whose Minister Jonathan Fleming will moderate the occasion. Questions will include a number concentrating on the local area and some wider moral issues. All are welcome.
