Our annual October holiday club is always a fantastic week of fun for primary school kids. We know the summer holidays are not over yet but it's amazing how fast the weeks go till the kids are off again.

Our dear sister Margaret Barclay passed into the presence of her Lord yesterday.
Her health had been deteriorating recently but it was a shock to hear. Margaret loved the Lord and served Him and is now in no more pain.
Margaret was widow of David, Mum of her beloved girls Claire, Elma and Elaine, proud Gran to her grandsons and great grandchildren.
Margaret was an enthusiastic holiday club team leader and until recently was patrolling as a Street Pastor and Schools pastor where the young night time revellers would greet their 'Street Pastor Granny' with hugs. Please remember all her family in prayer.
Funeral details will follow.

Our evening services resume this Sunday. Each week there will be a variety of speakers, topics and music.
The service begins at 6pm🕕, with a cuppa from 5.45pm. ☕️
This week we will hear from John MacKinnon who was Pastoring a church in East Kilbride for many years and is now Pastor of Rothesay Baptist. He will be speaking about a ministry called MakeKnown which he is involved in. The organisation encourages Christians to share the gospel.

This Sunday we begin a series looking at the biblical book of Jonah in the Old Testament. It's a small book, but one that is very well-known. Before getting into the text in any detail, we begin by giving an overview of the book and examining one or two of its major themes and lessons. The central character of the book is not Jonah (or the big fish!), but God. Here we discover a God who is sovereign over all things, and compassionate and merciful to all peoples.
