The crowd are not singing Hosannah (Save me) but shouting "crucify Him" however the wonder of the gospel is that the cry "Hosannah" will be answered by the cry "crucify Him", as Jesus is crucified for our sakes, in our place condemned He stood, so as to save us.

Getting ready for the Good Friday morning service. 11:30am. I shall be preaching from Mark 15
So Pilate wants to release Jesus. But Pilate is on the divine timetable, Jesus is in control, He has come to be the Passover lamb, to shed His innocent blood on behalf of His people, as much as Pilate might wish to do away with this scenario, while Jesus hands are bound together, Pilate finds it is his own hands that are tied.
