Great Missenden Parish Church - St Peter & St Paul

Great Missenden Parish Church - St Peter & St Paul We're an active parish inviting people from all walks of life to celebrate God's love for everyone, and to offer our sorrows to God.

We look forward to welcoming you within the church family. Our Church family includes a wide variety of people and this is reflected in the diversity of our worship. Our main time of worship is on at Sunday with services at 8am, 10am and 6pm. We have a thriving Sunday School for children of all ages. There is also a lot going on during the rest of the week. There are house groups where friendships are formed and there is bible study and prayer.

This evening at Christchurch Cathedral in Oxford, our much loved and respected Bishop of Oxford, the Rt Revd Dr Steven Croft, laid up his Pastoral Staff on the Cathedral's High Altar, after ten years as Bishop. (He was previously Bishop of Sheffield.)

It was a glorious and moving service, followed by refreshments in the Cathedral garden, which was once the Deanery Garden of 'Alice in wonderland' fame. The famous door from the story is still there. It was a treat to see the Cathedral from the garden side too.

Every blessing to Bishop Steven and his wife, Anne, as they start a new chapter in their lives, better known as retirement.
