If you are unsure what Peak Cluster is? Seen the signs going up around our community. Please engage with consultation before we end up with a development that will redefine Wirral for years to come.
As part of our plans to develop Peak Cluster, we’re committed to listening to communities.
The first community drop-in during our Phase 1 consultation was held at Hoylake on the 26th January. We understand that this event was very busy and, as a result, not everyone who came along was able to speak directly with the project team. The turnout clearly shows how strongly people feel about what’s being proposed.
As not everyone who attended this first event was able to talk to our team and ask questions about the project, we’re going to carry out additional engagement with Wirral communities from 31st March to 8th May 2026.
During this time, we’ll share the information we have about the pipeline and the Coastal Above Ground Installation, which we’re proposing to locate on the Wirral North Shore. In addition, we’ll answer the common questions that have been asked during the phase 1 consultation.
People will also be able to share feedback on our plans during the additional engagement period. This will be considered alongside that which we have received as part of our phase 1 consultation and will inform the next iteration of our project design and our phase 2 consultation, which will be held later in the year.
During the additional engagement, we will hold:
Two webinars to which everyone is invited: during the webinars, the project team will respond to some of the common questions asked during the phase 1 consultation and answer questions from attendees. The webinars will be held on:
1st April 2026 | 7:00pm to 8:30pm | Sign up here
14th April 2026 | 7:00pm to 8:30pm | Sign up here
Meetings for members of the local community: the project team will give a presentation and there will be opportunities to ask questions. To enable as many people as possible to attend, we will hold multiple sessions, with the same presentation repeated.
We’ll write to you at the start of the additional engagement period with more details about the public meeting, how you can get involved, where you can find information and ways to provide your feedback.
In the meantime, you can find more information about the project and answers to commonly asked questions on our website www.peakcluster.co.uk.
Best regards,
The Peak Cluster team.
WHY DO WE NEED PEAK CLUSTER? Cement and lime are the foundations to our day-to-day lives. Cement is the backbone of concrete – the world’s most widely used material. Lime, though less visible, is essential to everything from growing food to cleaning our air and water. Ensuring the UK can continu...
