The Sunday Morning Service is at 9.15am and the Book of Common Prayer Communion is at 8am. We also have a Cafe Church service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 4pm. Tomorrow, St John the Evangelist Church in South Bank will open its doors for a silent prayer vigil in memory of thosewho so tragically lost their lives in Saturday morning’s devastating incident.

From 4pm to 8pm, anyone who wishes to light a candle, say a prayer or simply sit quietly and reflect is welcome. Fr Malcolm Lockey will lead prayers every hour on the hour for those who lost their lives, their families, friends and everyone affected.

At a time when so many families, friends and our whole community are grieving, this will be a space to come together, remember those we have lost and hold their loved ones in our thoughts. ❤️

“I was shocked to hear the heartbreaking news of this morning’s fatal collision on the A66. My heart and prayers, along with those of churches across our town, go out to everyone involved and to all whose lives have been changed forever by this devastating crash.

“Words are inadequate, but we pray that all those affected, including those who serve in our emergency services, may know God’s presence and love.”
