5TH OCTOBER - READING PROVERBS 5 - HIGHLIGHTS:

A call to the son to accept the wisdom of the father (God) (and gain his understanding (1)

The father’s wisdom and understanding will keep you tactful (smart) and knowledgeable (2)
Because the strange or foreign women is crafty and you need to avoid all her tricks (3-6)

The Father’s call once again, to listen (7)
Warning again to keep far from the strange or foreign woman (8-14)

Encouragement to be satisfied with your own cistern and running waters (15-19)

Notice - verse 16 should be a question (move from King James to Revised Standard on this verse)

Give yourself to your wife alone and be completely satisfied with her continually (18-19)

The father’s question: Why embrace the strange or foreign woman and bring trouble on yourself? (20-23)
