Romans 5 1-8

Since we are justified by Faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have obtained access to his Grace in which we stand; and we boast in our hope of sharing the glory of God. And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

For while we were still weak, at the time Christ died for the ungodly. Indeed, rarely will anyone die for a righteous person though perhaps for a good person someone might actually dare to die. But God proves his love for us in that while were still sinners Christ died for us.

This is the Word of the Lord

GOSPEL Matthew 28 16-20

The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. When they saw him, they worshipped him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

TRINITY SUNDAY COLLECT

Almighty and everlasting God, you have given us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity and in the power of the divine majesty to worship the Unity: keep us steadfast in faith, that we may evermore be defended from all adversities; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever

This coming Sunday is a very special one in the life of our Parish. In 2014 we celebrated our first Trinity Sunday as the newly formed United Parish of the Trinity, South Grantham. Last year we celebrated with a parish Barbeque on a beautiful sunny morning. We have also over this time held open air services in the beautiful vicarage garden.
This year of course it will be quite different as Corona Virus restrictions prevent us meeting in person. However, we will be celebrating Holy Communion streamed live using Zoom. We will do our best to make this a worthy celebration of our Festal Day. To that end we will toast each other in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and raise a glass to those who are unable to join us and to the day when we can gather in His name.

Many of you will know that during lockdown we have been conducting worship every Sunday at 10am via Zoom and there is a nightly prayer service at 8.30pm Monday to Thursday also on Zoom. This has been lovely and has helped strengthen us during these difficult times. If you have not yet joined us for these meetings and would like to find out more about them please message through this page for details or email [email protected].

Faithful God, who fulfilled the promises of Easter by sending your Holy Spirit and opening to every race and nation the way of life eternal, open our lips by your Spirit that every tongue may tell of your glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord

GOSPEL

John 20 19-23

It was evening on the first day of the week, and the doors of the house where the disciples had met were locked for fear of the Jews. Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you." After he said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." When he said this, he breathed on them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them, if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.
