The word “Saviour” only makes sense if we’re in need of saving.

The Bible says our deepest problem isn’t a lack of purpose, confidence, or success—it’s sin. Sin separates us from God and leaves us unable to restore that relationship on our own.

But God didn’t leave us there.

Jesus stepped into our world, took our place on the cross, and defeated death through His resurrection. Now anyone who trusts in Him can receive forgiveness, peace with God, and the hope of eternal life.

That’s why “Jesus saves” isn’t just a Christian slogan.

It’s the best news the world has ever heard.

Behind the scenes of church life 👀

There’s so much more happening than what you see on a Sunday…

☕ Breakfast sandwiches being prepared at Annie’s Café
🎛️ Tech training for our growing worship team
📚 Staff training days focused on equipping and encouraging our team
🔥 Youth Bible studies diving deeper into Sunday’s teaching
🎶 Song selection and band rehearsals for the weekend ahead

And that’s just to name a few!

All of it feeds into our church vision “Building Community and Changing Lives for Jesus”

Ever wondered what our children do on a Sunday?

In short - They worship. 🙌🏻 They learn what it means to belong to the church family as we pray together, sing together, and grow together.

Then, when it’s time for the sermon, they head to their age-appropriate groups where they explore the very same Bible passage being taught on —presented in a way that connects with their age and stage of life.

From Bubbles 🫧 , where our youngest children begin learning the gospel, to Splash 💦 and Waves 🌊 for our primary-aged children at the local school, every child is being discipled, encouraged, and pointed to Jesus each week.

We love seeing the whole church family grow in faith, understanding, and a sense of belonging in God’s family.

🎙️ New Podcast Episode 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

How can we intentionally nurture faith at home and build worship into the everyday rhythms of family life?

In this episode, Rhys, our Children’s & Families Worker and author of the blog that inspired this discussion, hosts a roundtable conversation with:

✨ The Gordons: Brian, our Teaching & Training Pastor, and Karen, our Worship Leader & Coordinator
✨ The Achesons: Andy, Church Leader, and Katie, who serves in Pastoral Care ministry

Together they share their experiences, insights, and practical ideas for helping faith flourish in the home, exploring family discipleship, worship beyond Sunday gatherings, and the small rhythms that can have a lasting impact on family life.

Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, carer, or simply interested in how discipleship happens beyond the church building, this conversation is full biblical reflections of encouragement and wisdom.

Faith in Jesus isn’t a leap into the dark—it’s a response to the light of the empty tomb. The resurrection is the ultimate evidence for our hope and the reason we build our lives on Christ, our unshakable Cornerstone. 🪨

Ever wondered if you’re doing enough to help your children grow in faith? 🤔

This month on the blog, our Children’s Worker Rhys reflects on family worship and shares some helpful questions to guide your thinking:

📖 Where do I want my kids to be when they’re 18?
🙏 What do I want to equip them to do?
💛How will these times shape their hearts as disciples of Jesus?

Alongside the “why”, Rhys also explores the practical “how” of family worship—when to do it, what to read, and how to involve children in reading and praying.

Whether family Bible time feels natural or a bit daunting, we hope this month’s post encourages you.
