Talk More About Jesus

“For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” - Acts 4:20

It is easy to spend more time talking about church buildings, church problems, and church traditions than talking about Jesus Himself.

Buildings matter. Church history matters. But Jesus matters most.

People are not saved by church structures. They are saved by Christ.

When conversations about church difficulties arise, we can gently redirect them toward the hope we have in Jesus.

A person can admire the wrapping paper on a gift but completely ignore the treasure inside. The church building is not the gift. Jesus is.

Prayer
Jesus, help me keep You at the center of every conversation about faith and church. Let my words point people toward You rather than distractions. Amen

One Thing God Has Done

“Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.” - Psalm 66:16

Sometimes we overcomplicate evangelism. We think we need perfect answers to difficult questions. But often, the most powerful testimony is simple honesty.

What has God done for you recently?

Has He given you peace during a difficult time?
Has He provided for you?
Has He comforted you?
Has He forgiven you?

Your story matters.

People may argue with theology, but they cannot deny a transformed life.

If someone gave you medicine that completely healed your pain, you would probably tell others about it. You would not keep such good news to yourself.

Jesus has done far more than heal a temporary pain. He brings hope, forgiveness, peace, and eternal life.

Prayer
Father, help me remember the good things you have done for me. Give me opportunities to share my story with others in a simple and genuine way. Amen.

The Holy Spirit Gives Us Power

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” - 2 Timothy 1:7

Jesus knew the disciples could not do this mission alone. That is why He promised them the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes we think witnessing depends on our confidence, personality, or speaking ability. But sharing faith is not about human strength. It is about God working through ordinary people.

The Holy Spirit gives courage where there was fear. He gives words when we do not know what to say. He gives peace when we feel nervous.

You are not expected to do God’s work by yourself.

In the sermon, the image of gardening gloves reminds us of an important truth. Gloves cannot work alone. A hand must fill them before the work gets done.

In the same way, we cannot effectively share Jesus without the Holy Spirit working through us.

Prayer
Holy Spirit, fill my life today. Give me strength where I feel weak and courage where I feel afraid. Speak through me and help me become a witness for Jesus. Amen.

We Can Talk About the Weather… Why Not Jesus?

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses.” - Acts 1:8

Most of us can start a conversation about almost anything. We talk about the weather, football, holidays, television, shopping, and food without even thinking about it. Yet when it comes to Jesus, many of us suddenly become quiet.

Why?

Sometimes it is fear. Sometimes we worry about what people will think. Sometimes we feel we do not know enough. But Jesus never asked every believer to become a theologian. He simply asked us to become witnesses.

A witness tells what they have seen and experienced.

You do not need a one-hour sermon. You only need one honest story about what God has done in your life.

The disciples were afraid after Jesus died. They hid behind locked doors. But when the Holy Spirit came upon them, fear no longer controlled them. They began to speak boldly about Jesus.

God can do the same in you.

Imagine meeting a friend who tells you about the best restaurant they have ever visited. Their excitement is contagious. Before long, you want to try it yourself.

That is what sharing faith can look like. You are simply telling others about Someone who has changed your life.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, forgive me for the times I have remained silent about you. Fill me with courage and help me speak naturally and lovingly about my faith. Let my life point others. Amen
