A week ago, we hosted a viewing of The People’s Emergency Briefing on Nature and Climate Change.

We were joined by 55 people from a range of political and faith perspectives, who came together to watch the film and share thoughts afterwards.

Thank you so much to everyone who came and took part.

Our Church Secretary, Andrew Baker, reflected that nature and climate change matter to Christians because we have a commitment to creation care. We are also part of the wider community, and believe local resilience will be essential as we respond to climate extremes.

If you would like to hear more, or arrange a viewing for your group, please contact Andrew at [email protected]

What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:
🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living

📢 A special community screening: The People’s Emergency Briefing
At Llanwenarth Baptist Church Hall, on 21st May 2026 at 7pm

For details and tickets use the QR code or this link: https://buytickets.at/llanwenarthbaptistchurch/2168098

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

After the film there will be a short open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally.
We have invited the local Councillors and are optimistic that they will join with constituents for this important discussion about our future.
Seats are free but limited so please book in advance.
Bring a friend, neighbour or family member: everyone is welcome.
