‘145 - United in Song!’

Our special anniversary weekend included an afternoon of vocal music with guest groups: Bellshill, Edinburgh Gorgie/City, Central and Southern Scotland Youth Chorus, Paisley and Ayr Community Gospel Choir.

What a fantastic evening we shared on Saturday as we celebrated our 145th Corps Anniversary Concert!

It was a joy to welcome our special guests, the Amsterdam Staff Songsters, and to enjoy an evening filled with wonderful music, fellowship and celebration. The concert was a fitting way to mark such a special milestone in our corps history.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported and helped make the night so memorable. We are grateful for 145 years of ministry, music and community, and we look forward with excitement to all that lies ahead.

There were boundless blessings and highlights at our ‘United in Song’ afternoon of mini concerts with various vocal groups around the division.

Here’s our own Govan Songsters with our guests Amsterdam Staff Songsters, singing Stephen Pearson and Richard Philips’ song, ‘Boundless in Love’.

This weekend has many highlights but here’s our own Govan Songsters and Amsterdam Staff Songsters (conducted by Matt Ramsay) uniting together in the Saturday afternoon 145th Anniversary ‘United in Song’ celebrations with the singing of “Lord, How I Love You”.

Verse music arranged by Andrew Mair and new verse lyrics by our own Commissioner Keith Banks.

Our prayer is that this song will be a blessing to many and a reminder of just how much God loves us, walks with us, and holds us in His care.
