White Rose Fellowship

White Rose Fellowship White Rose Fellowship no longer have regular services. If we have a special evening we will post on We start our service at 730pm.

Music is played to start the evening, the Medium then opens in prayer, followed by a thought provoking reading, then we play the Bilitis while sending out healing thoughts. The medium then gives an address, followed by a short piece of music to allow the medium to become attuned with the spirit world before delivering messages of survival.

Happy Hydesville Day

Today is Hydesville Day, it celebrates the advent of Modern Spiritualism on March 31st 1848 and offers an opportunity to reflect, on our history, the sacrifice and contribution of our pioneers and begs us to consider the future of the movement as we move forward. Following the well recorded experiences of the Fox sisters in Hydesville in 1848, the American medium, Maria B. Hayden was the first medium to bring Spiritualism to the shores of the UK, in October 1852. By May 1853, the editors of the Chambers’s Edinburgh Journal reported to its Scottish readership on a number of sittings it held with Mrs Hayden in London. By the mid 1880’s J.J. Morse had brought the celebrated Kate Fox to Scotland, receiving a warm welcome in Glasgow. Kate’s visit to Scotland had been preceded some years earlier by pioneers such as, Emma Hardinge Britten in 1876 and Scotland’s own D.D. Home in 1870. Robert Cooper writes in The Spiritual Times, January 1866, of the American physical mediums, the Davenport Brothers visiting Dublin, giving seances to selected witnesses. Professor James Coates, born in Belfast in 1843, did much to progress the movement across Scotland and added to the wealth of international psychic research. Across the length and breadth of Ireland and Scotland, we have a long and honoured history of promoting and supporting Modern Spiritualism that continues today. Happy Hydesville Day.
