A quiet moment in a busy week... 🤫

Tonight at 6:00pm at Holy Trinity Church Gosport - our monthly Julian Prayer Meeting 🕯️

It’s a very simple half hour of silent prayer - a chance to step away from the noise that surrounds us, to just sit quietly and reflect.

This month our theme is Love - not just divine love, but the great gift of human love too.

The church will be open for a short while before and after the half hour, and everyone is welcome - please do come along. ❤️

Discover Holy Trinity Gosport this Gosport Heritage Open Days

Ever wondered what lies behind the rather stern Victorian red-brick exterior of Holy Trinity Church? Come inside during Gosport Heritage Open Days and discover an interior that is elegant, simple and, for many visitors, a delightful surprise!

Holy Trinity will be open daily from 11–20th September, with the Gosport Camera Club exhibition, The Glory of Gosport’s Architecture on display.

🎶 And listen out for our fabulous organists! Our five organists have volunteered to play our famous Handel organ at various times throughout the festival. These aren’t formal recitals, but they’re a wonderful opportunity to sit, listen and enjoy the music in this beautiful space.

There will also be a great programme of events at Holy Trinity, including:

🎵 Stories Behind Our Favourite Hymns with Pam Rhodes
🤿 Clearance Diving – The Ups and Downs of Training
🎨 The Art of Local History – an insight into the career of local artist Neil Marshall
📷 Gosport Wildlife Photography – an illustrated talk by local photographer Jon Mitchell

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a joyful occasion, with special thanks to Gosport Solent Brass for providing the fantastic musical accompaniment, and to the brilliant team who kept the Pimms flowing throughout!

🍹🎶 PIMM'S & HYMNS UPDATE! 🎶🍹

Our favourite summer sing-along is returning to Holy Trinity Church Gosport this SATURDAY 25th JULY 4:00pm - 5:30pm, and we cannot wait to lift our voices together again with our friends Gosport Solent Brass 🎺

☀️ Last year, the rain forced us inside (see photos below -we still managed to have a brilliant time indoors!). But this year, the forecast is looking beautiful, and we are planning to be fully outdoors on Trinity Green.☀️

You may want to bring:
✅Sunhats and sunglasses
✅Camping chairs or picnic blankets to get comfy on the Green.
✅Your best singing voice...

Yesterday at Holy Trinity Gosport we gathered for a very special celebration marking 20 years of priestly ministry for Mother Margaret Hay ✝️

The service was a joyful and deeply meaningful occasion, with Mother Margaret reflecting on two decades of service, gratitude, and faith. She offered heartfelt thanks to everyone who came to share the day, including her first training minister, Father Peter Wadsworth, and her current mentor, the Venerable Caroline Baston.

In true Mother Margaret style, the music for the celebration reflected her love of traditional hymnody 🎶

Mother Margaret also spoke warmly of Holy Trinity, describing it as “my spiritual church” - a place she holds especially dear among many she has served throughout her ministry.

After the service, everyone enjoyed cake and fizz together, rounding off the celebration in true community spirit.

As she looks ahead, Mother Margaret remains committed to continuing her work at Holy Trinity Gosport for many years to come, serving the parish with the same devotion, humour, and faith that have marked her priesthood so far 🙏❤️

What a wonderful Summer Fete we had last weekend at Holy Trinity Church! 🙏🌞

The sun really showed up for us, and it made the perfect backdrop for a brilliant day of fun, laughter, and community. The outdoor games were a real hit with children and adults alike, and the BBQ went down a treat too.

Our stalls were busy, with lots of browsing, buying, and friendly chats. The cakes, as always, were absolutely delicious, and the raffle had plenty of winners.

Most of all, it was just so lovely to see so many people coming together and enjoying the day. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us.

A huge thank you as well to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes, set up stalls, cooked, baked, donated prizes, and helped in so many other ways. Your effort, support, and prayers made the day possible.

We’re already smiling as we think ahead to next year’s fete 🎉
