Today, Family Church mourns the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. An example to all, the Queen lived a life of humble and exemplary service to both her nation and her Lord. In her 2014 Christmas Day message, the Queen, a lady of genuine faith, shared these words:

"For me, the life of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, whose birth we celebrate today, is an inspiration and an anchor in my life. A role model of reconciliation and forgiveness, he stretched out his hands in love, acceptance and healing."

Today, we pray for our nation and thank God for the Queen’s life of dedication. Though today we mourn, we also rejoice in the knowledge, hope and assurance of eternal life that Queen Elizabeth II will now experience with her saviour Jesus.

A moment of silence and reflection will be held in all of our weekend services.
