Ozzy is a very quiet boy gets on well with all the other donkeys although his best friends are Hugo and Bertie,him and Hugo our ever so playful together they love a good run around and a tussle 😊

Sophie's Saturday Suppers 🍕

This week the pizzas were delivered by one of our volunteers, Jill and her husband Dave (who was hiding behind the camera 🤣).

Six pizzas were delivered to Neonatal Intensive care unit (NICU) which were sponsored by RBM Solutions Ltd . The ward has so many families which we're supporting and struggling with the cost of food/travel. Having a pizza to eat just takes the pressure off for the night.

Then 34 pizzas were delivered to Starfish, Shipwreck, CAU and children's A&E. This week they were sponsored by Pure Communication Group based in Lee on Solent. https://purecommunicationgroup.co.uk/

We have seen the rise in the number of families needing our support whilst in hospital. Without everyone's support we wouldn't be able to do what we do. We give parents a bit of light during some dark times. We offer support when they think no one cares about them. We let them know that no parent should be struggling to eat whilst in hospital with their child.

Thank you to everyone for getting behind Sophie's wishes and allowing us to support hundreds of families every week.

Sophie will be looking over, feeling super proud of everyone who has contributed to Sophie's Legacy.

With everyone coming together we can make the changes that are so needed.

Sophie's Saturday Suppers 🍕

This week the pizzas were delivered by the lovely Katie and Laura (Sophie's auntie).

Six pizzas were delivered to Neonatal Intensive care unit (NICU) which were sponsored by Jacqui Dunster . The ward has quite a few parents who have to travel significant distances everyday and the pizzas really help to take the pressure off of what to eat.

The remaining 34 pizzas were delivered to Starfish, Shipwreck, CAU and paediatric A and E. This week they were sponsored by Script IP Ltd who have offices in Chandlers Ford and Frome.

I know I say most weeks about how much it helps but when you've been on the ward for days or weeks and someone knocks on your door asking if you would like a pizza it is like the light you need that day. It is knowing someone else is thinking about you when you're feeling isolated. It is knowing you don't have to think of getting dinner. It is so many things and that is why we have at least one parent in tears each week when we give them a pizza.

So proud of the work we do and we couldn't do if without our amazing sponsors and volunteers who give up their Saturday evenings to deliver them to every parent.
