We're the choir who lead the traditional choral services, including Choral Eucharist and Evensong, at Ss. Peter and Paul's church, Godalming Minster.

We sing a wide repertoire of music from across the Anglican choral tradition. New members are welcome.

The perfect start to a sunny Sunday: all are most welcome to the 9am Choral Eucharist at Godalming Minster. Enjoy beautiful, traditional liturgy in the splendour of this ancient building, with rousing congregational hymns and glorious choral music from the Minster Choir. We are delighted to have Edward Brain, newly-appointed Organ Scholar of Oriel College, Oxford, accompanying this service, with a spectacular voluntary by the French composer Jean Langlais, which is not to be missed!

All are warmly welcome to the 9am Choral Eucharist at Godalming Minster this Sunday. Come and spend a relaxing hour in the tranquility of this glorious church in a reflective service with traditional liturgy and splendid choral music from the Minster Choir, with guest organist Catherine Olver. We have music from a pair of Herberts… Herbert Sumsion’s wonderful Communion Service in F, and the divine setting of psalm 42, Like as the hart, by Herbert Howells.

**EVENSONG** - 6.30pm, Sunday 23rd August

All are very welcome to Choral Evensong at Ss Peter & Paul’s Church, Godalming Minster for an hour of calm and reflection in this beautiful building in the heart of Godalming.
The perfect ending for a late Summer’s day.
The Minster Choir will be singing glorious repertoire by English composers from the twentieth and late-nineteenth centuries: CHH Parry, Kenneth Leighton, George Dyson and Edward Bairstow. The service closes with a spectacular organ voluntary: the final movement of Vierne’s First Organ Symphony.
This is our last service with our Sub-Organist & Assistant Master of the Choristers, Mitchell Farquharson before he moves to take up a post at Truro Cathedral.
Please do stay for a glass of bubbly 🥂 or something non-alcoholic after the service, to wish him well!

We are delighted to return once again to worship with our friends at Guildford Cathedral as we sing for Choral Eucharist this Sunday, while the Cathedral Choir are on holiday. The Cathedral is a beautiful, light and welcoming space – we would thoroughly recommend visiting! All are warmly welcome to this traditional and reflective communion service, at which we will be singing a glorious Mass by Harold Darke, and Percy Whitlock’s serene setting of the hymn ‘Here, O my Lord, I see Thee face to face’.

CHORAL EVENSONG Sunday 16th August - 6pm
Everyone is welcome!
We're heading up a different hill this week!
Delighted to be visiting our friends at Guildford Cathedral this afternoon to sing Choral Evensong for the feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary while the Cathedral Choir takes a well-earned summer break.
We also welcome Gillian Lloyd from Guildford United Reformed Church as our organist. Everyone is warmly invited to enjoy an hour of tranquility during this beautiful and ancient service of traditional liturgy, with glorious choral music filling this magnificent building.
The introit, Parsons' Ave Maria, celebrates the Blessed Virgin with a masterpiece of Renaissance polyphony while the anthem, James MacMillan's 'A New Song', is a dramatic and exultant modern setting of Psalm 96.

CHORAL EUCHARIST - 9am Sunday 16th August
Everyone is welcome to St Peter & St Paul’s, Godalming Minster, for our 9am Choral Eucharist, with traditional liturgy and music from the Minster Choir.
Enjoy a time of reflection in the beautiful - and cool! - surroundings of this glorious building in the heart of Godalming.
We will be singing Charles Villiers Stanford's motet, 'Beati Quorum Via', a lush setting of Psalm 119:1 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord.

Before we make our way up the hill to St Martha's for Evensong tomorrow afternoon, we'll be leading the worship for our usual service of Choral Eucharist at 9am. Everyone is welcome to join us at Ss Peter and Paul's. We will be singing the powerful and dramatic mass setting by Louis Vierne.

Everyone is welcome to join us for our monthly Evensong today at 6.30pm. Do think about staying and wandering up to the church for something a bit more quiet and contemplative after the lively Big Band concert at Godalming Bandstand.

We'll be singing the wonderful Renaissance music of Orlando Gibbons, Charles Villiers Stanford's Canticles in C, and Gustav Holst's solemn and powerful anthem 'Turn back, o man', which was written in 1916, during the first world war, as a plea to end global conflict in favour of peace, restraint, and human unity - poignantly relevant for our world today.

We're proud to be singing at tomorrow's Civic Service for Godalming's Town Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Tom Kiehl and Cllr Victoria Kiehl. It’s an honour to be providing the music for such a special celebration of our local community and the Mayor's role within it. We will be singing Stainer's beautiful 'God so loved the world'.
