Hi all,
We recently found out that there are plans to install a 20 metre 5G mast and 6 equipment cabinets right outside the front of our church building on Finlay Road.
Planning permission was given for an installation back in 2022. An A4 notice was attached to a post on the street outside but none of us noticed it at the time and we had no idea this had been proposed or accepted until a couple of weeks ago. As far we are aware there was no contact made with us to let us know what was happening or ask for our views.
The original plans were never carried out but now there are amended plans for something even bigger.
We have no desire to just oppose things for the sake of it or to be awkward in any way – but as you can see from the attached picture this really does impact the front of our building and the surrounding area.
If you are part of the church or community around us and would like to make any comments about the plans then you will need to do so before next Wed as that is when it will go forward for consultation.
