Following the departure of our Minister, Revd Barry Bishop, in September we are pleased to be joined by Revd John McNeill. John is already known to us and we look forward to being led by him on our Spiritually journey. He will also be guiding us in other aspects of church life including the Pastoral care of our membership and others.
He will lead us in worship on Sunday 6th October as we celebrate our Harvest Festival. The church Handbell group will be playing during the service.

We have received a parcel through the post from a lady named Tracy, who is not known to HMC. It contained a collection of beautiful home made cards (greetings cards, birthday cards etc).
We would like to express our gratitude to Tracy, and hope that she reads this message. The cards will be displayed on our permanent stand of home made cards and sold in aid of the Water Aid charity.

Our Minister, Revd. Barry Bishop, will be retiring shortly. He will lead his last service on 11th August at 10.30am and we invite you all to join us. You are also invited to join us for a Bring & Share lunch in the hall afterwards.
We will miss Barry, who has inspired us all, and wish him a long and happy retirement.

Many people have lost loved ones over the last few years, both as a result of Covid, but also other causes, which is a fact of life.
We felt that we would like to offer a special place in which to sit and remember them. As a result the Memorial Garden was created at the side of the church. This is left unlocked during church services and during The Welcome Cafe opening times.
We invite you to take a pebble and colour it in any way, with and without a name included, and place it with the others so we can also offer our Prayers.
There is a bench for you to sit. Please let us know if you would like to talk to someone.

Following the Covid lockdowns, we identified a specific need within our local community to help revive peoples spirits and to, once again, give them a sense of purpose. In one way or another, most peoples mental health was impacted during this period, particularly due to the isolation and the fear of losing someone to this disease.
We looked at a number of ways we could move forward and the outcome was:
*The Welcome Cafe (also incorporating a Warm Space) - open on a regular basis. Hor drinks and cakes by donation.
*The Welcome Garden - a Community Garden for all to get involved.
(other initiatives include the re-opening of Jelytotz and we also host meeting for carers and Mindsong, via the local surgery)
Visit our website for full details of all the groups within the church

This banner has recently been hung in the passage between the church and the Welcome. We think it was first created just after the Welcome was built. Anne Beddington was instrumental in designing it but that’s all we know. If you have any more information would you please make a comment
