Allegations were recently made against me, which resulted in my arrest last week by officers of Gloucestershire Constabulary. I comprehensively refute those allegations and continue to fully cooperate with their investigation.

Until the conclusion of that investigation, I am unable to comment further, but I will continue to serve my constituents as their elected Member of Parliament. My office remains in place to support constituents with casework and official enquiries.

Planning Application 24/00695/FUL Part Parcel 2691 Tewkesbury Road, Twigworth

Full Planning Application for the er****on of 8 dwellings and associated vehicular access, landscaping and other associated infrastructure.

Despite representations at the Planning Committee by Twigworth Cllr Rick Harris and the support of other councillors, objecting to this application, the Planning Committee agreed to Permit.

This was a disappointing but wholly predictable outcome, recognising the issues with sewage and drainage in the area, as all the authorities involved could see no reason to refuse, despite the history.

⚠️ M50 westbound overnight closure - Sunday 21 June

Please be aware that National Highways will be returning to complete previously postponed work on the M50.

🚧 Closure Details:

📅 Sunday 21 June 2026

⏰ 9:00pm – 6:00am

📍 M50 westbound closed from M5 Junction 8 to M50 Junction 2

A fully signed diversion route will be in place throughout the closure.

🚑 Access for emergency services will be maintained where safe to do so during emergencies.

Please allow extra time for your journeys if travelling in the area overnight.

National Highways apologise for any inconvenience caused and will aim to complete the work as planned, although adverse weather or unforeseen circumstances may result in further changes.

We are conscious of the impact this closure may have, particularly for communities in the Forest of Dean and those travelling through Gloucester overnight.

We know people are already experiencing disruption from a number of transport projects across the county and appreciate that any additional traffic can be frustrating. While this work is being undertaken by National Highways, we are aware that the diversion route passes through Gloucester and may result in higher than usual levels of overnight traffic.

The fact that the closure is taking place overnight should help minimise the impact for most road users, and we are hopeful the work can be completed as planned. We would like to thank residents, businesses and motorists for their continued patience and understanding while these essential works are carried out.
