Most people enjoy the bright lights and pretty patterns of fireworks but not everyone appreciates the noise and for some it makes firework displays completely inaccessible. With this in mind, St Barnabas Church are putting on a silent virtual fireworks display inside the church on Saturday 2nd November. The fireworks will be projected onto the wall and ceiling and will be best enjoyed sitting on the floor, so feel free to bring a cushion or blanket. There’s no charge for admission, people of all ages are welcome and there will be hot dogs for £1 and hot drinks for 50p.

We are distressed and shocked at the news coming from Southport today. We pray for the families of the two children who been killed and also for all who were injured or affected in anyway and their families. We give thanks for all who are caring for them. The church and chapel space will be open tomorrow morning between 09:30 and 12:30 for prayer and a quiet space. St Katharine's Church, Matson, Matson Lane will be open from 10:00 till about 17:00
