St Barnabas, Gloucester

St Barnabas, Gloucester Sharing the Good News of Jesus St Barnabas serves the Tuffley, White City and Robinswood areas on the south side of the city of Gloucester.

We are a small but growing (in every way!) church family with a passion for Jesus, for prayer and for our city. Our church family is made up of all sorts of people, some who have had faith for a long time and others who are exploring. Like most communities at the moment, we are seeking out new ways to live life together during the Coronavirus outbreak. We believe that prayer changes things - inclu

ding ourselves! We also believe that each person has gifts to offer and a part of play in seeing our communities and our city transformed into places where everyone is able to live life in all its fullness. We believe in a loving God,
The Father and Creator who created all that is. The Son, Jesus, who shows us the way, the truth and the life
The Holy Spirit, living and active, transforming lives, bringing peace, healing, wholeness and power. Want to get connected or find out more? Don’t hesitate to get in touch. Private message the page or contact our Vicar Sarah on 07534 720160.

Retirement raises questions of identity (Who am I? now that I am no longer…). Tudor Griffiths will be exploring some of the Biblical teaching about Identity in Christ, that can help not only in retirement but in preparation for the same.

He further explores the Biblical idea of Rest as a helpful way of thinking about retirement as a sabbath of life. Retirement is the last stage of life, but in the meantime we can live in joyful hope, while not being unrealistic about the challenges.

Hello everyone!

This weekend marks the first Sunday of the month. We start the day at 9am with communion followed by a community breakfast that will run up to the All In together service in our beautiful building at 10.30.

Scripture, prayer, activities, discussion, creativity, and worship for all ages as we explore what it means to trust when things feel uncertain.

Have a blessed weekend!
