Fancy some free fun for the family? This year our Messy Christmas is a twist on a festive favourite – forget gingerbread houses, we’ll be making gingerbread stables, complete with a set of gingerbread nativity characters and animals. We’ll be hearing the Christmas story, singing a Christmas song or two, decorating our nativity scenes and finishing with delicious refreshments. If you’d like to come and make a gingerbread stable, please book in by messaging us or emailing [email protected] so that we know how much gingerbread to bake.

Most people enjoy the bright lights and pretty patterns of fireworks but not everyone appreciates the noise and for some it makes firework displays completely inaccessible. With this in mind, St Barnabas Church are putting on a silent virtual fireworks display inside the church on Saturday 4th November. The display will be repeated every 20 minutes between 4:30pm and 6:30pm. The fireworks will be projected onto the ceiling and will be best enjoyed sitting, or even lying, on the floor, so feel free to bring a cushion! There’s no charge for admission, people of all ages are welcome and there will be hot dogs for Β£1 and hot drinks for 50p.
