Accessible theological training
Free to attend
Focused on God's word
Designed to fit around everyday life.

We are partnering with ChristChurch Manchester, Nazarene Theological College and Church in the Peaks to help deepen your love and understanding of the scriptures.

Over 20 Saturdays across two years you will get high-level theological teaching that will take you through the whole of the Old Testament and New Testament. You can even do an accredited pathway that will contribute towards further study at a degree level.

NEW ASSISTANT MINISTER!

We are so pleased to share the news that Josh Slatter will be joining the team here at Elim Glossop towards the end of July. Josh will be responsible for overseeing “Reaching the Generations” as we seek to become a church family that sees all generations come to love God and one another.

Josh is a preacher, worship leader and a pastor whose love for God and care for people shone through during our discernment process.

Josh is from Edinburgh and has just finished his final year of study at Regents Theological College. He loves to encourage people and is hungry to be developed and gain experience in ministry. He is passionate about discipling others and desires to church plant in the future which aligns with our City-Peak vision of planting churches across the High Peak and connected cities.

Josh is engaged to Gracie. Gracie is going to finish her final year at Regents before joining us once her studies have finished. We can’t wait to welcome them both soon!

We had an amazing baptism service on Sunday celebrating new life in Jesus 🛁 🙌

Chris suffered an abusive past but found a church family that felt safe and loved him. He began to sense God’s presence as he played Christian songs on his piano. One day he experienced a life-transforming answer to prayer and found he’d run out of reasons not to follow Jesus.

Laura ran a new-age business when she found herself coming to church because she liked the vibe. After having a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit one Sunday, she came to know God as more than just energy or the universe - but someone who had met with her personally. Afterwards she gave up her business, left behind her old life and entered a new life with Jesus.

Louise turned away from God after losing her Grandad while she was still young. Years later her partner James invited her to come to church. Skeptical at first nothing really made any sense to her. Still she found genuine friends who loved her and gave her room to ask questions. Gradually, her faith grew until on Sunday she made public her decision to walk a new path with Jesus by her side.

We love baptisms because each and every person is sacred to God and their story of faith deeply personal to them. We love to celebrate the joy, hope and faith they’ve found as they discover the wonder of Jesus for themselves!

and he wants his peace to live right in there.

A little recap!

Yesterday we had the blessing of being able to do outreach; bringing the life of church out into our own beloved town.
In the worship, in the word, in testimony, and in unity; we were carrying on and living out the heritage of our faith in Jesus.

We appreciate and value every person that came, it was a privilege to have you join us!

A HUGE thanks to all the team that worked so hard to set up that brilliant café, and serve us with refreshments.

And another thanks to the team out on the square, who ministered to us in powerful song.
All of your efforts have not gone unnoticed. :)

We had an open air service right in the heart of our town during the Heritage Weekend. We worshipped, we prayed and we preached the good news of Jesus alongside our Anglican friends. 🎉🎉🎉

We also hosted a Heritage Cafe for people afterwards to serve our community.

Thanks for all who served to make it happen and who came out to show our town that Jesus is alive and that His church is still a big part of this beautiful valley.
