We will gather once again in the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey on Sunday 24th May for this year’s Pentecost Praise Service. The service begins at 3.00pm and all the churches of the town are warmly invited to come together in worship and celebration.
After the service, everyone is welcome to stay for a bring and share picnic in the Abbey grounds – a chance to enjoy fellowship, food, and the joy of Pentecost in community.
All welcome!

Friday 6 March was the 2026 World Day of Prayer hosted by St Mary's. This Service was prepared by the ecumenical group of Christian women from Nigeria – The theme being "I will give you rest, Come!"

The Service was led by members and ministers from all our Churches in Glastonbury. We joined in a great wave of prayer which encircled the globe, beginning in Samoa and ending, 146 countries later, in American Samoa all praying with and for the country and people of Nigeria.

The Service was joyful and prayerful with heart rendering stories of the lives of some of the women and children in Nigeria.

The Service was well attended and a collection raised £200 which is being forwarded to the World Day of Prayer for the support of the Nigerian people.

As a new year dawns, we hold before God all that has been and all that is yet to come.
From the quiet, mist-shrouded ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, we send our prayers and good wishes to all our friends and pilgrims.
May 2026 be a year of hope, healing, and renewed trust in God’s guiding presence, even when the path ahead is not yet clear.
With blessings and prayers from the Glastonbury Shrine.
