On Sunday 19th April our Church will be 72 years old.
Caro Penny will be conducting our Anniversary Service and we will be joined by the congregation of St Mark's Church to help us celebrate.
Service will begin at 11am and there will be refreshments after Service. Everyone will be welcome.

Recent Serious Incident

Last night 2 of our staff members were called to an emergency at 11pm last night where a vulnerable person was intending to jump off an over bridge on the A737 near Johnstone.

One of our members was physically restraining the vulnerable person to stop them jumping and our 2 staff members rushed to the scene.

They were followed shortly after by the Police and Transport Police who did a fantastic job - so thanks for their help.

The person was made safe and was then taken to the Royal Alexandria Hospital in Paisley.

After an initially physical and safety check were undertaken they were transferred to Leverndale Hospital for a psychological evaluation.

Unbelievably the person was then released at 6am this morning after being deemed no danger to themselves or anyone else.

This is what we are up against !!!!

The system is broken and we need to work together to force change.

The lives of people we know and love depend on it !!!!!

This afternoon the Synod Moderator preached at the Ecumenical Service to mark the beginning of the St. Mungo Festival in Glasgow Cathedral. Reflecting on Jesus commandment 'to love one another' and the life of Mungo, patron saint of the cathedral and the city, she reminded those gathered that People Make Glasgow.

In a world when many are actively seeking to create division she encouaged the congregation to celebrate, and commit to futhering, the ways we express our love for one another, as Mungo did, by feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, and having compassion for those who are ill. She shared stories from Drumchapel Essenside United Reformed Church, The Hall on Peat Road - Priesthill URC and Shawlands United Reformed Church as examples from within the Synod where love is shared and received for the good of the community.
