**EID & COMMUNAL DUAA AT MADRASA**

There is still time to reap the benefits of the blessed month of Ramadhan by spending its last precious moments in tauba and seeking Allah swt's forgiveness.

The annual communal duaa was a ma'mool of Hadhrat Maulana Aslam Sahib نور الله مرقده, learned from his elders, which was carried on by Ustaadji Hadhrat Maulana Akhtar Sahib نور الله مرقده. May Allah swt grant both our late Shayoukh the highest ranks of Jannat ul Firdaus.

Continuing on this amal, duaa will take place tomorrow, beginning around *6pm In'sha'Allah*.

May Allah swt accept all our efforts this month, forgive any shortcomings, and allow us to reach next Ramadhan together.

**Commencement of Ramadhan Announcement**
**Madrasa Taleem ul Islam**

After sincere efforts towards a unified approach to moonsighting, and after consultation and careful consideration, Madrasa Taleem ul Islam finds itself compelled to adopt the global moon-sighting position regarding the commencement of this Ramadhan.

While our longstanding preference has been to uphold local moon-sighting in accordance with established practice, the present circumstances and the need for wider community cohesion have led us to adopt this approach at this time. Our intention is to maintain unity within families and minimise confusion within the broader community.

We remain firmly committed to the way and principles of *Hazrat Maulana Mohammed Aslam Sahib (RA)* — particularly his emphasis on sound scholarship, responsible leadership, and preserving harmony within the community. It is in keeping with his example that this decision has been made.

We ask Allah Ta‘ala to forgive any shortcomings and grant unity and understanding to us all. May He keep us steadfast upon what is most pleasing to Him and allow us to maximise the blessings of Ramadhan.

There was a positive and verified moonsighting report in the North of England. Therefore, the month of Shahban will complete at 29 days and the 1st day of Ramadhan tomorrow 1st March.

Taraweeh will commence tonight after Isha (8:45pm).

Notes: Our timetable is taken from the original established Glasgow timetable, which was meticulously compiled by our elders.

It is based on principles from the Quran and Hadith, backed by sound scientific calculations and confirmed by observations taken from across the city.

Therefore, the 'Fajr Begins' and 'Sehri Ends' times have significant safeguards built into them.

Please note: At 'Sehri Ends' time, you MUST stop eating.

Over the last four decades, academics, subject experts, and senior Ulema, including M***is, have checked and approved the veracity of the timetable.

May Allah swt accept these efforts of our elders. May He also bless the remainder of Shabaan and allow us to reach Ramadhan.

We are touched and grateful for the warm words of solidarity from our neighbours!

The scenes we’ve witnessed in England are shocking, with widespread rioting, Islamophobia and racism, all while we were still coming to terms with the horrific attack which killed three little girls.

There is much misinformation circulating on social media about that terror spreading to Scotland. However, Police Scotland have reassured us there is no intelligence to suggest there are confirmed threats in Scotland, and they have stepped up patrols around the city.

Pollokshields is one of the most diverse areas in Scotland. Here at Madrasa, we love opening our doors to the wider community, and supporting the wider community when we can. Our diversity and unity is our greatest strength, and renowned across the country.

We stood united against the far right before.
We stood united against the SDL.
We stood united at Kenmure street.
We stand united every year to oppose anti-social behaviour during fireworks season.

So keep looking out for one another, be vigilant but not alarmed, and call the Police if you feel threatened or see anything suspicious.

This is Pollokshields. We reject the hate peddlers and will stand united to oppose anyone who tries to divide us, or target our communities.

We are honoured to have Hadhrat Maulana Yaqub Nanji Sahib DB presiding over both events In'sha'Allah.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐀𝐙
The annual gathering and prize-giving of the Huffaz, which brings together Madrasa Hifz students past and present, will take place after Asr 7pm, In'sha'Allah followed by the dua. All brothers are requested to attend.

This year Alhamdulillah 55 of our Huffaaz led Taraweeh in 24 locations across Scotland and in London. May Allah swt accept their efforts and give them steadfastness.

This is only possible through the duaas of the entire community, especially our elders (those among us and those who have returned back to Allah swt), as well as the sacrifice and efforts of the students, their parents & families and the Ustaadhs.

𝗞𝐇𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐌 𝐄 𝗤𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐍
Isha jammat is at 10pm. We kindly request everyone to arrive early, car share as much as possible, park responsibly, avoid driveways and DO NOT park on the pavements. Please listen to the instructions of the khidmat team.

Hadhrat Maulana Aslam sahib نور الله مرقده once said that "akhlaq is the jewellery of the believer". Bearing this in mind please have the best of conduct in and around the Masjid. When leaving the Masjid, please disperse quickly and quietly so as not to disturb our neighbours at such a late hour.

Finally, may all the efforts, sacrifice and recitation be a sadqa for our Shayoukh, Hazrat Maulana Aslam sahib نور الله مرقده and Ustaadji Hazrat Maulana Akhtar Sahib نور الله مرقده. May Allah swt fill their graves with Noor and elevate their ranks in Jannat al Firdaus.
