We were delighted to welcome Glasgow’s Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren on one of our recent tours! The Lord Provost was even able to share her own insights about past Lord Provosts buried in the graveyard which was of great interest to those on the tour.

Thanks for the recommendation This Is My Glasgow!

The Friends of Ramshorn Graveyard in the Merchant city are running a series of free tours over the summer, which I would highly recommend.

This is one of the city's oldest burial grounds, and contains the final resting places of many of the key figures in Glasgow'a development. It's also got a great collection of mortsafes and other devices to foil 18th and early 19th century bodysnatchers!
