We are proud to congratulate our sangat member Charandeep Singh on his appointment as Chief Executive of the Scottish City Chambers.

Charandeep Singh has been a valued member of our sangat and has also previously carried out seva at the Gurdwara with dedication. Through hard work, commitment, and strong values, he has achieved this important milestone.

On behalf of Gurdwara Sahib and the sangat, we wish him every success and continued chardi kala in his new role.

𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢 𝐒𝐚𝐤𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐳𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐲

In Sikh history, the month of December marks the Martyrdom of many Sikhs who raised their voice and courageously fought against injustice, tyranny, and inequality that prevailed during the Mughal Empire in India.

Baba Ajit Singh ji and Baba Jujhar Singh ji, the two eldest beloved sons (Sahibzadey) of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji embraced martyrdom while fighting a battle heroically against tyranny and injustice of Aurangzeb at Chamkaur Sahib.

Baba Zorawar Singh ji and Baba Fateh Singh ji, the youngest beloved sons (Sahibzadey) of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji were bricked up alive at Sirhand by tyrant Mughal rulers of that time when they refused to embrace Islam and submit before injustice. Sahibzada Fateh Singh and his older brother, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh are among the most hallowed martyrs in Sikhism.

Join Glasgow Gurdwara to pay tribute to the supreme sacrifice of these martyrs. Let's reflect on the bravery and courage of these martyrs who stood true to their faith and did not fear death.
