Kelvin West Parish church brings together the congregations of Kelvinbridge Parish Church and Wellington church in a newly united congregation. We welcome into the life and worship of our congregation all people whatever their ethnic origin, gender, background, age, sexual orientation, mental or physical ability. Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God (Romans 15:7)

Exploring 1 John: The Letters of John for Everyone 📖

This September, we’re starting a new study series exploring New Testament scholar Tom Wright’s The Letters of John for Everyone, with a particular focus on John’s first letter.

The first study will meet in person, with the following six studies taking place on Zoom on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm, finishing on 15 October.

Each study will be preceded by a Prayer Group at 7pm.

Whether you know the Bible well or are simply curious to explore it more deeply, all are welcome.

In this Sunday’s service we will hear how Moses encountered God in a wilderness place and a wilderness time - and came to a new understanding of God’s mission and purpose. This story encourages to think of experiences through which we have come to a new understanding of life and faith. We will think about how seeing things in a new way changes not only what we think but how we act.

After our summer break, Questions of Faith returns on Wednesday 2nd September. 📚☕️

The group is an opportunity to explore what we believe, why we believe it, and how we relate our faith to everyday life.

Our discussions usually focus on a book, but they can range widely as we share our stories and experiences, doubts, questions and even our prejudices. It’s a small, friendly group with people from Kelvin West and beyond, and everyone is welcome to join the conversation.
