I wish I could say that this is a piece of q***r history and in the past, but HIV and AIDS are still very much with us, though for many of us, easier to forget about now than it used to be.
Head along to the Tramway where the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt will be exhibited from the 11th September.
π’The UK AIDS Memorial Quilt display at Tramway from 12 Sep - 4 Oct is accompanied by an extensive public programme, including events curated by Glasgow-based artist and researcher Steven Grainger.
Opening with a Preview (Fri 11 Sep), and the traditional Reading of the Names ceremony (Sat 12 Sep) the programme features screenings, talks, workshops and conversations.
π«All events at Tramway are free, though some are ticketed/limited capacity.
πͺ© Outwith Tramway, The Vic & Assembly at the Art School is hosting a fundraiser for the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt (Thu 24 Sep), curated by HuussH and Colin (Hot Mess Disco)
