Bus Outing to Largs, Saturday 29 August 2026
The bus trip to Largs organised by the Glasgow South Group of the Society of St Vincent de Paul proved a huge success, helped by fantastic weather and the trip coinciding with Largs’ Viking Festival. Many local people from Auldhouse Foodbank, and the parishes of St Mary’s, Holy Cross and St Helen’s enjoyed a great day out. For some on the trip, a visit to the seaside is a rarity. Thanks to Canon George Bradburn and the nuns at the Benedictine Monastery, the trip incorporated Mass and the Anointing of the Sick. Many on the trip participated in both services. A huge thank you to the team for making all the trip’s necessary arrangements, and contributing to such a successful day.
