Christianity has become a beautiful ruin—sometimes admired and remembered, sometimes scorned. This Sunday, in “Faith in Ruins: Reconstruction, Not Deconstruction,” Robin explores what it means to rebuild a living faith around Jesus Christ. Drawing on Exodus 12:1–14 or Ezekiel 33:7–11, Romans 13:8–14 and Matthew 18:15–20, we will consider a faith courageous enough to move out, a love willing to cost us more than we would give, and a community committed to repairing what has been broken. With three opportunities for honest discussion and debate, you will be challenged to move beyond merely examining the Church’s ruins and making a deeper commitment: leaving something harmful behind, offering costly love and beginning the truthful conversion you have been avoiding. Come ready to question, listen and build again.

Join us this Sunday as Robin preaches, "Do Not Let Go"

There are nights when faith is not a hymn. It is a grip.

Drawing together Jacob’s struggle with God and Jesus feeding the multitude, this sermon explores what happens when we stop running from the truth, name what has wounded us and allow God to transform who we are becoming.

Jacob enters the darkness grasping for a blessing and emerges wounded, renamed and ready to face the future differently. In Matthew’s Gospel, the disciples move from scarcity and dismissal—“Send them away”—to becoming bearers of Christ’s abundance.

This is a passionate call to a faith that wrestles honestly, refuses despair and places even its smallest gifts into the hands of Christ.

The God who meets us in the struggle is still forming us. The Christ who receives our little is still feeding multitudes.

This Sunday 26th July we will be going on a Pilgrimage to the Govan Stones.

We will be leaving from Hyndland Community Centre at 2pm.

On the way we will be engaging with some contemplative practises.

The church site at Govan appears to have been a place of Christian worship from around AD 500, possibly associated with St Constantine. Archaeological evidence shows Christian burials from the fifth or sixth century, before St Columba arrived on Iona.

The church has been rebuilt several times, but worship continued on the same ground for fifteen centuries. George MacLeod, founder of the Iona Community, served here and found inspiration in Govan's ancient Christian heritage before restoring Iona Abbey in the 1930s

What if one of the biggest obstacles to faith isn't Jesus... but the arguments we've had about Him?

This Sunday we'll be reflecting on one of the most moving moments in the gospels, where a desperate father cries out, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief." Together we'll consider what it means to follow Jesus in a world where many people are exhausted by religion but still longing for hope, healing, and authentic community.

If you've ever wrestled with faith, doubt, disappointment, or wondered whether church can still look like Jesus, join us tomorrow at 4pm. There's a place for you.

Join us this Sunday 28th June 2026, 3:45pm for 4pm start at Hyndland Community Centre (Novar Dr).

We are trying out this new idea for an all age session where we can hang out together with some resources and explore a theme. We're hoping that by having some extra sensory resources and reduced demand on participating in any particular way, this might support any of our neurodiverse young ones especially, and hopefully be fun for all of us. Please do come if you'd like to help try it together and see how it lands with our community
