That was a Grand Day Out!

On Sunday we travelled out of the city to enjoy food, games, chat, crafts, dens, sticks and prayer as a church family. Yes, it was a bit damp but we had such a fun time.

Special thanks to everyone on team who helped set up, pack down and organised games. With a special mention for Lydia and her BBQ team who managed to served up an amazing BBQ in the wild! And not forgetting Joel who managed beautiful fire..in the rain! Plus all our kids and young people who made the games a hoot.

We are praying for each of our young people facing exams.

Dear God,
Please help all our young people facing exams.
Give them courage and peace.
Give them understanding of the questions they read.
Help them notice the details.
Help them remember their revision and keep a clear head to answer.
Replace their anxiety with your peace.
Give them confidence in their answers.
Help them discover their purpose and gain what they need for what is to come.

Whatever the outcome, use it for good. Let them choose to remember they are loved, brilliant, unique and they are enough.

Our hospitality team are brilliant. They bake, they serve, they tidy up, they make a lovely brew, and they bless us each Sunday by hosting a time at the end of the 10.30am gathering where we can be refreshed by food and conversation with our church family.
