We carry so much.

Conversations that replay
long after they’re finished.
Worries that wake before we do.
Questions about tomorrow
that steal the peace of today.

We hold them tightly,
turning them over,
trying to solve them,
trying to manage them,
as though everything depends on us.

But there comes a point
when our hands grow tired.

A point where the burden
becomes heavier
than the strength we have left.

And there,
in the middle of the carrying,

comes the invitation.

Cast all your anxiety on Him.

Not some.
Not the respectable worries.
Not only the things we think
are important enough for God.

All of it.

The great fears.
The small concerns.
The sleepless thoughts.
The tears we hide.
The burdens we cannot name.

All of it.

Not because God is distant and curious,
but because God cares for us.

Cares.

A simple word,
yet large enough
to hold a lifetime.

So we loosen our grip
a little.

We place what we can
into hands stronger than our own.

And for a moment
we remember

that we were never meant
to carry everything ourselves.

Bringing children to church isn’t about routine, it’s about eternity.

In a world pulling them in every direction, they need truth, not just once in a while, but consistently.

The Word of God reminds us: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

We are not just raising children for today’s world, we are preparing souls for eternity.
Faith isn’t something to turn to only in difficult times. It must be planted early, watered often, and lived out daily: “And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children…” Deuteronomy 6:6–7

One day, they will face trials, temptations, and decisions that shape their lives, and what has been planted in them will matter.

“Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

Don’t wait. Start now.

Bring them where the Word is preached. Bring them where Christ is lifted up. Bring them where their souls are pointed to the Saviour.

Following this mornings sermon - beautiful words by Eleanor 😊

Three in one.

Which sounds like a puzzle,
a maths problem,
something to be solved
rather than lived.

But perhaps the Trinity is less about explanation
and more about experience.

The God who creates,
whose fingerprints are found
in rivers and mountains,
in blackbirds at dawn,
in laughter around kitchen tables,
in the first breath of a newborn child.

The God who comes close,
walking dusty roads,
sharing meals,
touching wounds,
showing us that love
looks like something.

The God who moves among us still,
like wind through trees,
like fire in cold hearts,
like courage arriving
when we thought we had none left.

Father.
Son.
Holy Spirit.

Not three gods.
but one God
whose love is shared,
given,
received.

A dance of love
that has been going on
since before the stars were hung in the sky.

And we are invited in.

Not as spectators.
Not as outsiders.

Participants.

Held in the love of the Creator.
Welcomed by the grace of Christ.
Filled with the presence of the Spirit.

Three in one.

Not a problem to solve,
but a mystery to enter,
an ocean to wade into,
a song still being sung.

And every act of love,
every moment of grace,
every breath of hope,

echoes with the life
of the God
who is relationship,
community,
and love itself.
