Our final Synod mini-gathering has taken place in Nairn with folk joining us from Aberdeen and the Peedie Kirk as well as Nairn United Reformed church. Thank to all who participated as we reflected on the Synod Them for this year: Scotland's Four words of hope: values of the Mace, values for discipleship.

The yarnbombing at the church entrance provided a colourful welcome to everyone.

It has been a truly special evening in Thurso for the Service of Institution and Induction of Revd Susan Henderson to St Peter and the Holy Rood Scottish Episcopal Church and Thurso United Reformed Church. The service was led by the Most Reverend Mark Strange, Bishop of Moray, Ross and Caithness and Primus and the Synod Moderator and began in St Peter's before moving to the URC. In his sermon Revd John Bremner, Synod Ecumenical Officer reflected on this new, exciting, challenging and hopefully opportunity not just for the congregation, the town but also our two denominations. We send our warmest congratulations and prayers to Susan and both congratulations. ( with thanks to Lesley Thomson for the photos).

As young people across Scotland receive exam results today we share this prayer.

A Prayer for Those Awaiting Exam Results

Over the next three weeks, exam results will be released across the UK. These days are approached with trepidation and produce both profound joy and disappointment. We keep all our young, and not so young people, in our prayers during this season of results, and offer this prayer, for private and public use, as results are received, understood and digested, and future plans made. https://bit.ly/resultsprayer
