Topic: EVERYTHING HAS DOORS

Anchor Text: Mark 11:23–24

23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

When God speaks, He speaks with authority, power and purpose. His Word is never empty. What He says has the power to produce what He declares (Isaiah 55:10–11; Numbers 23:19).

From creation, God demonstrated this principle: He spoke, and things came into existence (Genesis 1:1–3). Jesus also spoke to storms, sickness, death and deafness; and they responded to His Word (Mark 4:35–41; John 11:41–44; Mark 7:34).

Why? Because everything God created whether living or non living have Doors and ears. That is why God speaks to things and situations before doing and they hear and obey His voice.
Scripture gives us glimpses of doors in places we would not normally think of:

• Heaven has doors: and God can open the heavens for provision (Psalm 78:23).

• The womb has a door: and God can open what has been closed (Genesis 30:22).

• Mountains have doors: Ezekiel saw a door after digging into the wall (Ezekiel 8:8).

• The sea has doors: God opened the Red Sea when Moses spoke and stretched forth his rod (Exodus 14:15–22).

• Prison has doors and gates: Paul and Silas prayed and worshipped, and suddenly the prison doors opened (Acts 16:25–26).

• The realm of provision has doors: God opened heaven and supplied Israel with manna (Psalm 78:23–24).

The lesson is powerful: if God can speak to it, it must respond to Him.
That is why Jesus said, “Speak to the mountain.” He did not tell you to be intimidated by the mountain; He told you to address it with faith.

Moses spoke to the rock, and water came forth. He spoke according to God's command, and what appeared closed became a source of life (Numbers 20:8).

Israel stood before the Red Sea with no visible way forward, but when God gave the command, a way opened where there was no way.

There may be doors around your life that you cannot see, but God knows where they are. Speak His Word. Speak with faith. Speak according to His will.

Beloved, don’t keep quiet, speak to that situation in your life; speak to that closed door that has been stagnating your life and destiny. I can assure you, they will hear voice today and the doors will open up in the name of Jesus.

What God has ordained to open cannot remain closed when His Word goes forth.

Reflection

What “door” are you facing today; an impossible situation, a limitation, a need or an opportunity? Stop speaking only about the mountain and begin speaking to it in faith.

Action Points

• Speak God's Word over your circumstances.

• Refuse to magnify the obstacle above God's power.

• Exercise faith through prayer and declaration.

• Expect God to make a way where there seems to be none.

Prayer Points

1. Father, open every door that Your purpose has ordained for my life.

2. Every mountain standing before my destiny, move in Jesus' name!

3. Lord, at Your Word, let very closed doors open up for me today.

TODAY’S DECLARATION

Ephphatha “BE OPENED!” As I speak God's Word in faith, every ordained door opens and every mountain moves! In the name of Jesus, Amen!

GOD HAS THE KEYS THAT OPEN ALL DOORS

Anchor Texts:

Revelation 3:7-8

7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Isaiah 22:22

And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

Matthew 16:19

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

WHEN GOD OPENS, NO ONE CAN SHUT
Our God is not standing outside the doors of your life looking for a key;He holds the keys!

Revelation 3:7 reveals Jesus as the One who has the Key of David. What He opens cannot be shut, and what He shuts cannot be opened by human or demonic power.

The Key of David speaks of divine authority, access and sovereign control. Jesus has the authority to open doors of salvation, favour, opportunity, breakthrough, purpose and destiny. When He opens a door, you do not need to fight to keep it open.

Isaiah 22:22 declares, “He shall open, and none shall shut.” Jesus further said, “I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom” (Matthew 16:19). This means that God not only opens doors; He gives His people spiritual authority to walk in what He has opened.

Consider Paul and Silas. They were imprisoned, chained and seemingly forgotten. But at midnight, they prayed and sang praises to God. Suddenly, an earthquake shook the foundations of the prison, the doors opened, and their chains fell off (Acts 16:25–26) because God entered with His master keys and opened all the prison doors. When Peter was locked up in prison with the prison doors securely locked, God entered unhindered and opened all the chains and prison doors, setting Peter free.

A situation can remain unchanged for years and change in one divine moment. Your present limitation is not the final chapter. The God who holds the keys can open what has resisted you, release what has been restrained, and bring you into places no human connection could have accessed.

Keep praying. Keep worshipping. Keep believing. Your God still holds the keys!

Reflection

Never allow a closed door to convince you that God has forgotten you. The One who holds the keys knows exactly which door to open and when to open it.

Action Points

• Keep your prayer altar burning, even in difficult seasons.

• Worship God before you see the breakthrough.

• Expect the door to open for you.

Prayer Points

1. Father, by Your divine authority, open every door You have ordained for me.

2. Let every door of captivity and limitation break open now and let me begin to walk in my liberty in Jesus’ name.

3. Jesus, You have the keys that opens all doors, please open the door of favour, riches, divine health, fruitfulness, and fulfilment for me today.

TODAY’S DECLARATION

By the power of God, every ordained door is opening, every chain is breaking, and my season is changing!

THEME FOR THE MONTH: EPHphatha — “BE OPENED!”

Topic: I AM THAT I AM

Anchor Text: Exodus 3:13–14

13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?

14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

THE GOD WHO OPENS EVERY DOOR

When Moses asked God, “What is Your name?”, God revealed Himself as “I AM THAT I AM.” This is more than a name; it is a revelation of God’s eternal, self-existent, unchanging and unlimited nature.

I AM THAT I AM means: I am who I am, and I will be all that I need to be to accomplish My purpose.

He is the God who speaks, and it is done. He opens a door, and no one can shut it. He possesses the keys to every door and has unlimited power to accomplish whatever He has purposed.

When God decides to do a thing, no Pharaoh, no power, no opposition and no circumstance can stop Him.

Israel’s deliverance proves this. God decided to open the door of captivity, delegated His authority to Moses, and sent him to Pharaoh with a divine command: “Let My people go!” Pharaoh could resist for a while, but he could not stop what God had ordained. When God opens a door, opposition cannot keep it shut (Revelation 3:7-8).

God does not only open physical doors; He opens spiritual doors, doors of faith, understanding, opportunity, purpose and destiny. Paul and Barnabas testified that God had “opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles” (Acts 14:27).

There are dimensions of God you have not yet entered because your understanding and faith have not yet been fully opened. God is calling you into a greater capacity to believe Him.

Faith sees beyond circumstances. Faith believes God’s Word before the evidence appears.

Today, remember who your God is: I AM THAT I AM. If He says it, He will do it. If He opens it, no one can shut it. If He sends you, He will sustain you. If He has ordained your breakthrough, no power can stop it.

May every door ordained by God for your life open in Jesus’ name!

Reflection

What has God promised you that you have allowed circumstances to make you doubt? Lift your eyes from the problem and fix them on the I AM. His power is greater than your limitations.

Action Points

- Feed your faith daily with God’s Word.
- Stop magnifying the problem; magnify the I AM.
- Speak God’s promises over your circumstances.
- Dare to believe God for what looks impossible.

Prayer Points

1. Father, reveal Yourself to me as the I AM and strengthen my faith.
2. Lord, open every door You have ordained for my life, and let no power shut it.
3. By Your unlimited power, break every limitation and lead me into greater dimensions of Your purpose.

TODAY’S DECLARATION

I AM THAT I AM is for me! Every God-ordained door is OPEN! No power can shut what God has opened!

SEPTEMBER 2026 DEVOTIONAL

THEME FOR THE MONTH: Ephphatha — “BE OPENED!”

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2026

TOPIC: WHEN GOD SPEAKS

Anchor Texts:

Mark 1:27
“For with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.”

Psalms 62:11:
“God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.”

HIS WORD CARRIES AUTHORITY

When God speaks, He is not making a suggestion; He is issuing a command. His Word carries the authority to create, transform, restore and bring into order whatever has become chaotic.

In Genesis 1:3, God said, “Let there be light,” and light appeared. There was no resistance powerful enough to stop His command. In Mark 4, Jesus spoke to the raging storm, “Peace, be still,” and the wind ceased.

When Jesus speaks, closed things open, restrained things are released, storms become still, and impossible situations bow to His authority.

Psalm 62:11 reminds us that power belongs to God. Therefore, our confidence is not in the strength of our circumstances but in the authority of the One who speaks.

Beloved, there may be situations around you that appear stubborn, but they are not stronger than God's Word. What God has commanded cannot be cancelled by circumstances. His promise over your life is greater than the opposition against you.

When God says, “Open,” no force can keep it shut.

When God says, “Arise,” no circumstance can keep you down.

When God says, “Go forward,” no Red Sea can stop you.

Do not allow your present situation to define God's ability. Let God's Word define your situation.
Today, hear the voice of the Lord over every closed area of your life:
Ephphatha! Be opened!
May every barrier resisting God's purpose for you respond to His Word. May every storm become still, every limitation give way, and every impossible situation bow to the authority of God.

REFLECTION

What situation have you considered too difficult to change? Remember: God does not need favourable circumstances to fulfil His Word. When He speaks, His power accompanies His command.

ACTION POINTS

1. Find a promise of God's Word concerning your situation and stand firmly upon it.
2. Stop magnifying the opposition; magnify the authority of God.
3. Speak God's Word over every closed and difficult area of your life.

PRAYER POINTS

1. In the name of Jesus, I declare: Ephphatha! Every door, opportunity and pathway ordained for my destiny, BE OPENED!
2. Lord, let every storm, limitation and stubborn circumstance resisting my progress hear your voice now and give way.

TODAY'S DECLARATION

God has spoken it, I believe!
Every closed door ordained for my destiny is opening, every storm is becoming still, and every limitation is giving way. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

SEPTEMBER 2026 DEVOTIONAL

THEME FOR THE
MONTH: Ephphatha — “BE OPENED!”

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2026

TOPIC: OPEN HEAVEN

Anchor Text: Psalm 78:23; Deuteronomy 28:12

Psalms78:23

“Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven.”

Deuteronomy 28:12

“The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.”

An open heaven is more than a beautiful spiritual expression; it is an atmosphere of divine access, intervention and supernatural supply. When God opens the heavens, He releases from above what human strength cannot produce from below.

Israel experienced this when God opened the doors of heaven and manna fell from above. Their wilderness became a place of supernatural provision. What they could not cultivate, manufacture or purchase, God supplied abundantly.

An open heaven also means divine intervention. In Exodus 3:8–10, God saw the affliction of Israel, came down to deliver them, and raised Moses as an instrument of their deliverance.

In 2 Kings 7:1–8, when Samaria was trapped by severe famine and surrounded by impossibility, God intervened suddenly and turned scarcity into abundance.

This is what happens when heaven opens: God steps into situations that have become too difficult for human ability.

In 1 Kings 18, Elijah saw a tiny cloud, and shortly afterwards the heavens became black with clouds and there was a great rain. What had been withheld was suddenly released; because heaven opened.
May the heavens open over your life. May divine provision replace scarcity, and supernatural ease replace unnecessary difficulty.

An open heaven means that what was once difficult can become easy because God has entered the situation. Doors begin to open, help arrives, resources flow, wisdom comes, favour speaks, and obstacles lose their power.

Beloved, do not measure what God can do by what your environment or circumstances are currently saying. Your source is not your circumstances; your source is God.

REFLECTION

What appears impossible in your life today? Take it to God with expectation. The situation may be beyond your ability, but it is not beyond His power. When heaven opens, earth cannot remain the same.

ACTION POINTS

1. Pray with expectation, believing God for supernatural intervention.
2. Thank God in advance for His provision and faithfulness.
3. Refuse to limit your expectations to your present circumstances.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, in this season of Ephphatha, open the heavens over my life and let me experience divine intervention in every difficult situation in my life.
2. Lord, let the abundance of heaven be released over me. Let every season of scarcity give way.
3. Father, Open every channel through which Your help, grace and provision will reach me.

TODAY’S DECLARATION

The heavens are open over me!
Supernatural provision is replacing scarcity, favour is replacing struggle, and divine ease is replacing difficulty.
What I cannot produce by human strength, God is releasing by His power.
My heavens are open, and my life will testify to the goodness of God! In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

SEPTEMBER 2026 DEVOTIONAL

THEME FOR THE MONTH: Ephphatha — “BE OPENED!”

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2026

TOPIC: LIFT UP YOUR HEADS, O YE GATES!

Anchor Text: Psalm 24:7–10

“7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.”

WHEN THE KING ARRIVES, GATES MUST OPEN

Psalm 24 presents a powerful prophetic picture: when the King of Glory approaches, gates that have stood for generations must lift their heads. They cannot resist His presence.
Jesus said, “I am the door” (John 10:9). This means that when Jesus goes before you, you do not have to live intimidated by closed doors. The Door is going ahead of you!

Philippians 2:9–10 declares that God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him a name above every name, and that at the name of Jesus every knee must bow. If every knee must bow to His name, then every gate standing against God's purpose for your life must also give way to His authority.

When you approach a closed door in the name of Jesus, you are not approaching it by your own strength. You are coming under the authority of the King of Glory. And when the King comes, gates have no choice but to respond.
Beloved, do not allow yesterday's disappointment to make you expect another closed door. Lift up your head! The King of Glory is going before you.

The door of opportunity may have been closed.
The door of favour may have been closed.
The door of breakthrough may have been closed.
But Jesus is going before you!

Ephphatha! They Must Open Up!

No gate can permanently stand before the One who is both the King of Glory and the Door. What has resisted you is about to give way. What has been shut is about to open. What has delayed your progress is about to bow to the authority of Jesus.

REFLECTION

What closed door have I allowed to make me lose hope? Today, lift your head. The answer is not in forcing the door; the answer is in allowing Jesus, the Door, to go before you.

ACTION POINTS

1. Approach every impossible situation in faith and in the name of Jesus.
2. Replace discouragement with expectation.
3. Worship the King of Glory before you see the gate open.

PRAYER POINTS

1. King of Glory, go before me and enter every difficult situation in my life. Let every gate resisting Your purpose for me lift its head!
2. In the name of Jesus, I command every ancient gate, stubborn barrier and closed door standing against my progress to open now!
3. Father, because Jesus is my Door, let every God-ordained door of favour, breakthrough, greatness and divine opportunity open before me, and let nothing hinder my advancement.

TODAY’S DECLARATION

Jesus, the Door, is going before me. Therefore, every gate must lift its head, every barrier must give way, and every door ordained for my destiny must open. By the authority in the name of Jesus, I advance, I break through, and I enter into all that God has prepared for me. No door can remain shut before the King of Glory! In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

SEPTEMBER 2026 DEVOTIONAL

THEME FOR THE MONTH: Ephphatha — “BE OPENED!”

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2026

TOPIC: JESUS IS THE WAY AND THE DOOR

Anchor Text: John 10:9; John 14:6

“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” — John 10:9

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” — John 14:6

THE DOOR TO GREATNESS IS JESUS

In a world where people look to connections, wealth, influence and human favour for access, Jesus declares, “I am the Door.” He is not merely the One who opens doors; He is the Door through which we enter into everything God has prepared for us.

The door to salvation is Jesus.
The door to the Father is Jesus.
The door to eternal life is Jesus.
The door to divine purpose is Jesus.
And the pathway to true greatness is through Jesus.

There are doors that money can open, connections can open and influence can open; but there are doors that only Jesus can open. When you have Jesus, you have access to what no human being can give you.

Philippians 2:9–11 declares that God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him a name above every name. At the mention of that name, every knee must bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Therefore, child of God, stop struggling with doors that are subject to the authority of Jesus. Call on His name! When Jesus goes before you, doors begin to respond. What resisted you yesterday can open today; not because you forced it, but because the King of Glory has gone ahead of you.

This is your Ephphatha season! As you walk with Jesus and call upon His name, may doors of favour, greatness, provision, opportunity, influence, fulfilment and destiny open before you.

You will not have to compromise your faith to enter your appointed place. The Door is Jesus, the Way is Jesus, and the One who leads you through is Jesus!

ACTION POINTS

1. Make Jesus the centre of every plan and ambition.
2. Call upon the name of Jesus concerning every closed area of your life.
3. Refuse to force doors that God has not ordained for you.
4. Trust Jesus to lead you into the right opportunities.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord Jesus, be my Door and lead me into every place ordained for my destiny.
2. By the authority in the name of Jesus, let every door of divine opportunity open before me.
3. Father, shut every door that will lead me away from Your purpose.
4. Let every barrier standing between me and my God-ordained breakthrough give way.

TODAY’S DECLARATION
Jesus is my Way! Jesus is my Door! Therefore, I have divine access. At the mention of His name, every barrier gives way and every God-ordained door opens before me. I will enter into greatness, fulfilment, favour and divine purpose without compromising my faith. I am entering through the Door, and no power can shut what Jesus has opened! In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

THE WORD WORKS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

By Pastor Elvis Momodu

August 2026 Devotional

Theme for the Month: INCREDIBLE TURN AROUND

Monday, August 31st, 2026

Topic: YOUR TURNAROUND IS HERE

Anchor Text: Psalm 126:1–2

“When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing.”

MESSAGE:

Today, as we come to the end of this month of Incredible Turn Around, let this truth settle deeply in your spirit: God can change your story!

Psalm 126 describes a turnaround so remarkable that the people could hardly believe it; “We were like them that dream.”
Their captivity ended.
Their laughter returned.
Their songs returned.
Their testimony returned.
That is what God does; He turns tears into laughter, mourning into dancing, and captivity into celebration.

Throughout Scripture, we see the same God rewriting human stories. Joseph moved from the prison to the palace. David moved from the wilderness to the throne. Ruth moved from widowhood to honour. Jabez moved from sorrow to enlargement. Paul moved from persecutor to apostle. Their circumstances changed because God intervened.

Beloved, your present situation is not your final destination. The night will not last forever. The wilderness will not last forever. The prison will not last forever. God is still writing your story.
But remember: your turnaround is not merely about what God gives you; it is about what your life becomes for His glory. When God restores you, give Him the praise. When He lifts you, remain humble. When He answers your prayer, remember the One who answered.

As August closes, do not carry yesterday's disappointment into tomorrow's season. Carry your faith. Carry your expectation. Carry your testimony. And hear this prophetic word:
What began with tears shall end with laughter.
What began with struggle shall end with testimony.
What looked like an ending shall become a new beginning.
What was delayed shall receive divine acceleration.

The God of Incredible Turn Around is not finished with you. Your story is changing. Your season is changing. Your testimony is changing. By faith, step into your turnaround!

REFLECTION:

What has God done for you this month, and what testimony will you carry into your next season?

ACTION POINTS:

1. Remember and record God's faithfulness throughout this month.

2. Enter the new month with faith and expectation, not disappointment.

3. Use your testimony to encourage someone still waiting for their turnaround.

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Father, thank You for Your faithfulness and for every turnaround You have brought into my life.

2. Lord, let every unfinished testimony concerning me receive divine completion.

3. As I enter a new month, lead me into greater grace, favour, fruitfulness, and victory.

TODAY'S DECLARATIONS:

1. My captivity is turned, my joy is restored, and my mouth is filled with testimony.

2. Every delayed promise concerning my life is coming to divine fulfilment.

3. I am stepping into a new season of greater grace, greater glory, and greater testimony.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

Your story is not defined by where you started or what you have endured. It is defined by the God who is writing your ending. The God of Incredible Turn Around is not finished with you yet!
