A place for the people This character filled and local landmark opened its doors as 'Al-Farooq Education and Community Centre'.

This was a time when an unsettled, fledgling Muslim community urgently required a social and spiritual centre for gatherings, festivals, religious education and worship. Significantly this joyous opening marked the beginning of Al-Farooq's neighbourly pursuits to act as an interface with the wider community, to help people improve their understanding of Islam and to contribute towards the betterme

nt and prosperity of the people of Glasgow from all backgrounds. Situated in the South Side of Glasgow in a thriving community that is diverse in ethnicity and rich in culture, the Masjid has firmly established itself as a leading Mosque in many activities, religious education and a place of worship. In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

Our hearts are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of our beloved elder Hajji Abdul Sattar, husband of Safia Sattar, father of Abdul Ghafar Sattar, brother of Muhammad Ishaq, relative of Muhammad Ishaq (UKIM), Hafiz Abdul Rehman, Javed Iqbal, hafiz Sajjad Ahmed, Muhammad Shafiq, Muhammad idrees and Muhammad Yasin.

May Allah (SWT) grant him a place amongst the highest ranks of Jannat-Ul-Firdaus, Aameen.

🌙 A Primer in the Terminology of Hadith Scholars - Al-Hafidh Ahmad ibn 'Ali ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani

Join us at AFECC next week for a 2 day dawrah with Ustadh Amar Abdi-Fatah, exploring a well known and powerful book Nakhbat Al-Fikr, authored by Al-Hafidh Ahmad ibn 'Ali ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani — this is a book that efficiently summarizes the classification of prophetic narrations, allowing students to distinguish between authentic and inauthentic reports. 🌙

Ustadh will go over the etiquettes the reciter of the Quran should uphold within his life, and discuss the immense rewards in doing so. An important reminder to strengthen our connection with the Quran and to give our due time for it.
