SUNDAY SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS ✨ | WHAT DO YOU TREASURE?

SCRIPTURES: 📖 Matthew 6:19–21 | Matthew 13:44–51 | Psalm 119:7

On Sunday, we were reminded of a powerful truth: where our treasure is, there our hearts will be also. Matthew 6:19–21.

Everything we acquire on earth is temporary, but the treasures we store in heaven are eternal. Our true treasure is revealed by where we invest our time, energy, interests, finances and ultimately our hearts.

The message challenged us not to live solely for earthly possessions and achievements, but to pursue the things of God and invest in what carries eternal value. We may lose everything earthly in the blink of an eye, but what is stored in heaven can never be taken away.

As we go through this week, may we ask ourselves: What do I truly treasure, and where is my heart? ❤️🙏🏾

God Before All
Colossians 1:15-19
God must come before everything else in our lives. Before our plans, possessions, relationships, career, ministry, and personal ambitions.When God is first, everything else finds its proper place. When we put other things before God, we can gain the world but lose our spiritual direction.Jesus did not say,Seek the kingdom when everything is settled.He said, “Seek ye first.”

God must come before our plans like in Proverbs 3:5–6 ,Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. We make plans, but God must have the final say.Before you begin a business, relationship, journey, project, or ministry, ask:Lord, what is your will?

When God is first, possessions become tools, not idols.God must come before people.We must love our families, friends, and neighbours, but no person should take the place of God.When God is first, we can love people correctly.

God must come before our desires.Jesus demonstrated this in the garden in Luke 22:42 Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.That is the heart of putting God first.Sometimes God's will will require you to say no to something you want. But obedience to God is always better than temporary pleasure.

We should mind the way we treat God,because a day will come when we shall call him and he will not answer just like in Proverbs 1:28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me.

Faith is not the Absence of problems but the belief that God is bigger than every problem.

What a beautiful and faith-strengthening time we had in God’s presence this Sunday!

We were reminded that there is no specific time to have faith in God our faith must remain steadfast at all times. Faith means trusting God even when we cannot see the way forward. It is not the absence of problems, but the confidence that Jesus is bigger than every problem we face.

The more we trust God, the more we grow in Him. Faith does not depend on what our physical eyes can see; faith obeys God without wavering and continues to stand even when the answer seems delayed.

As we step into a new week, may we remember to let our faith move us through the impossible. Keep believing, keep trusting, and keep standing on God’s Word. If He has promised it, He is faithful to fulfil it! 🙌🏾
