Fasting is more than abstaining from food; it is a deliberate act of drawing closer to God. Through fasting, we quiet the distractions of the flesh and create space for the voice and presence of the Holy Spirit. It is a season of surrender, humility, and spiritual renewal.
“Come, Holy Ghost, come,Acts 1:8” is a heartfelt invitation for God’s Spirit to fill our hearts, guide our thoughts, and transform our lives. As we fast, we acknowledge our dependence on God and our need for His strength, wisdom, and direction. Just as the disciples waited in prayer before receiving the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, we also seek a fresh outpouring of His presence.
Fasting helps us to align our hearts with God's will. It sharpens our spiritual sensitivity, strengthens our faith, and deepens our relationship with Christ. During this sacred time, we ask the Holy Spirit to cleanse us from anything that hinders our walk with God and to produce His fruit in our lives—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
May God Bless you as you engage in the name of Jesus.
