Twechar Village Remembrance Sunday. 3pm 09/11/2025

We will be meeting at the memorial stone (or in the Church of the Nazarene if the weather is terrible) at 3pm this coming Sunday the 9th of November as we remember those who have fallen in the wars. Our memorial stone has names from the 1914-1918 First World War and from the 1939-1945 Second World War and we honour their sacrifice.

This is a whole village event and all are welcome, whether you've stayed in Twechar all your life or you're new to the village - please feel free to come along.

As a point of safety - as many will be standing near the pavement, please be aware of traffic coming through and keep a hold of your kids and pets. Also, if you are driving past, please do drive slowly.

Good morning friends

We will be having a service this coming Sunday, 13th of July. All are welcome as we lift up the name of Jesus.

With all the things happening in the world and in our lives - and all the noise and distraction of social media and the TV - we have to find a quiet place sometimes for our own sanity. After a busy period, Jesus spoke to his disciples and said,

“Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” (Mark 6:31)

Church isn't always the quietest of places - but the noise of the world is left at the front door - and replaced by a noise honouring to God.

Regardless of where you are in life, or if you think there is no redemption for you and you're too far gone to 'get yourself right' with God, be encouraged by this - God knows you and He knows the way back for you. Jesus said, "I am the Way!"

Anyhow, if you can make it - please come along for an hour.

Remembrance Service this year will be Sunday 10th of November at 3pm

If the weather is fine (not raining) we will meet you all at the Memorial. If it is raining we will have the bulk of the service in the church and then go outside to lay wreaths and pay our respects.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

We will be meeting today in the church at 4 pm for a short service. All welcome.

Yes, we are still here. Small, but not extinct. ☺️

This Sunday night at 7pm we will be having a short thanksgiving service in the church. All welcome

We will be giving thanks for Jesus paying for our sin with His life and His resurrection from the dead.

We wish everyone a joyful and peaceful Christmas.

This verse of scripture is known by some as "the little bible!"
It is a verse for all seasons. Our prayer is that you will know Christ as your lord and saviour, He is the perfect Christmas gift.

A good turnout from our community to pay tribute to those who have given their lives in the wars.

Sunday 12th November at 3pm - Remembrance Service - we meet to remember those of the village who have fallen in defence of our country.

We will be gathering just before 3pm. Please take care around the memorial as it is situated right next to the Main Street and there are usually vehicles passing through. All welcome to pay their respects.

If the weather is too wet or wild, we will meet in the Twechar Nazarene Church for the service and go outside to lay the wreaths afterwards
