FREDA’S NURSERY, SETTLE
A huge THANK YOU to the staff and parents of Freda’s who once again held a ‘reverse Advent Calendar’ and donated food items and Christmas goodies to the Settle Pantry. Several members of staff brought some of the children to church to meet ‘Big Ted’ and to see the mountain of food that they had donated. You are all amazing!

Saturday 14th March 2026, Settle Parish Church.
£15 to sing. There will be a workshop starting at 2pm with a concert open to the public at 6pm. I am excited to welcome professional soloists, Jessica Harper and Julian Hubbard to the event.

Today is Yorkshire Churches Day. Our doors will be open (as normal) but the difference is that today we will be telling something of our story and there will be friendly faces to welcome visitors. A tour of the church - 'The Mystery of St Alkelda' will take place at 11am

At noon today at Holy Ascension church, along with the nation, we will keeping the two-minute silence to honour the 80th anniversary of VJ Day. This will be followed by prayers and the opportunity to light a candle to remember loved ones who fought in the war.
