Psalm 23: Our Shepherd gives us rest

The girls in the Mission Possible Kids class have been learning about Psalm 23. For their craft project, they made “no-sew pillowcases” using recycled jersey T-shirts. The pillows were a reminder that Jesus, our Shepherd, gives us rest.

If you would like to join us, our next Mission Possible Kids session is on Saturday, 12th September, at Eighton Banks Village Hall, from 11am–1pm, followed by a free lunch from 1–2pm. Everyone is welcome!

A blessed gathering today, discussions on the importance of rest and what the Sabbath means, and of course, homely food.

We had home-baked scones and cinnamon rolls, and a lovely array of different cuisines 😄

All are welcome to join us 😄 the first 3 Saturdays of every month, from 10:15am to 2:45pm 😀🙏

Introducing our new class for kids between 7-11 years old, called Mission Possible Kids, where faith, fun, and friendship come together!

Each week, our young adventurers enjoy exciting games, discover inspiring stories from the Bible, and get creative with hands-on crafts that bring each lesson to life.

🌱 Last month, we explored the Parable of the Sower and the Parable of the Growing Seed, learning how God's Word grows in our hearts. To celebrate what we learned, the children created beautiful beaded plants as a reminder of spiritual growth.

💛 This month, we're diving into the inspiring story of Ruth, a story filled with courage, kindness, and faith. Today's lesson focuses on loyalty—discovering what it means to stand by our friends, family, and God, just as Ruth did.

Join us as we learn, create, laugh, and grow together. At Mission Possible Kids, every child is on a mission to discover God's love and purpose for their lives! 🚀✨

Litter Picking with a throng of 50 energetic youths around Eighton Banks Village Hall! We are so happy to have our very own local Gateshead councillors Judith & Sheila join us 😁

Special thanks to the Pathfinders & Adventurers of Newcastle Seventh-Day Adventist Church UK; the enthusiasm was palpable even with the rain! (just look at the smiles in the photos!).

We had a lovely time picking litter at the Longbank Play Area, the surrounding of the Wrekenton Blue Star Football Club Field, and the beautiful pathway towards the Angel of the North from Eighton Banks Village Hall.

Looking at the pictures and seeing the enthusiasm of these Pathfinders & Adventurers, it certainly make us endeavour for more opportunities to serve our community 😃

If the Red Sea did not stop the Israelites, a little rain couldn't stop this group from litter picking in Eighton Banks.
