For our September event we're planning to include a garden produce stall - do pop by on Sunday 6 September to see!
As always, the church is a cool, quiet space to rest and reflect on the busy market day. Join us from 10am if you'd like to attend our Sunday service - all are welcome!

📢 Marathon this Sunday - Update! 📢

Rev. Seamus has had some success with the organising company - those wishing to attend Church on Sunday morning will be able to get through the roadblocks, provided they get to the Church by 9:30am.

It will not be possible to drive to the church after 9:30am as there will then be a number of runners crossing by. Please take a copy of this message with you in case there are any issues.

If people would rather not risk it, then please come to the Vigil Eucharist on the 15th at 5pm, but could some people please try to drive to Church on Sunday as it helps to make a point.

Kieran Morris from the organising company ‘Run Through’ advises -

“We want to work together to minimize the impact of the road closure while ensuring runner safety.

There will be two directional runners on Bath Street so facilitating safe access from 9:30 - 11 will be difficult.

We are able to provide access passes to your congregation if the can arrive before 9:30?

For those who are able to walk, we strongly advise parking in the nearby streets and walking to the service”.

Sunday 16 August - Frome Half Marathon: Bath Street will be closed to traffic during the morning.

Our 10am service will take place for people who can walk to church.

Those who travel by car are welcome to come to the 5pm Vigil Eucharist on Saturday 15 August and we can all gather at 5.00pm on Sunday 16 August to 'Bring and Sing' favourite hymns.

St John's Café and Mini-Market - 11.15am to 2pm. Alongside the usual refreshments and goods for sale, you'll also find quiet space in our beautiful church to pause and rest.
If you're in town earlier, do join us for our 10am Choral Eucharist Service - everyone welcome!

Frome Festival 2026 Round-up!
What an amazing time we had earlier this month...
Thank you to everyone who played a part, for the hard work, dedication, energy and talent that was so much in evidence during a busy few days.
Thank you to everyone who visited our exhibitions and attended events at St John's - we counted 1750 festival visitors, who were enthralled and inspired by all that they saw and heard.

Floral displays by Frome Floral Art Society and St John’s Flower Team focusing on the Genesis account of Creation and Earth and its wonders.
Frome Art for Wellbeing Exhibition - Recent artworks.

Thursday 9 July: 6pm–7pm
Festival Choral Evensong
Traditional evensong to complement the floral displays on ’Creation’ and will include works by composers celebrating significant anniversaries this year.

Friday 10 July: 8.30pm-9.30pm
St John’s by Candlelight
An atmospheric tour by candlelight involving meditation, light, music, and stories

Sunday 12 July: 11.30am - 2.30pm
'Fashionable Faith' displays
Glamour and glory! An expert guide through the history and meaning of Christian dress
