Main Street Community Church, Frodsham

Main Street Community Church, Frodsham Living lives in community together. Following Jesus. Loving and serving our community of Frodsham. But our life together does not stop there!

This includes spiritual care, education, pastoral and practical support, deepening relationships and showing concern to others. Jesus Christ is our great role model - his life, as recorded in the Bible - is an example we aim to follow

As a community church, we welcome everyone! We know we're not perfect, but together we want to build up the community of Frodsham in a variety of ways. As followers

of Jesus we meet together on Sundays at 10:30am (and have coffee and often lunch after!). Through gathering together for different community activities during the week, we show the life and model of Jesus in us. You are welcome to join us on any and all of these occasions!

Spring has sprung!

Whilst Citizens Advice cannot be with us until 30th April, our community welcome remains open, with Coffee from 9.30am-12noon. Pop in for a brew, an Eccles Cake and a natter before or after nosing around the Weekly Market!

Our Friday Friendship Group allows folk to get together from 1.30-3pm and is a little social group to which people are welcome!

And let's not forget, of course, our keynote time together at 10.30am on Sunday where we spend time with one another and with God. Oh, and a brew, of course.

As we gathered to greet Easter Morning to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, so we experienced another of The Divine's promises - this time in the form of a rainbow, as sunlight bathed the empty cross.

Happy Easter!

A picture taken by our neighbour, Jimmy Tenant, of the Good Friday Walk this morning. There were about 30 of us, swelling to about 50 as we reached the top of the hill to place the cross at the War Memorial.

As Churches Together in Frodsham marked Good Friday by walking with a cross through town, and as the cross was lifted up and placed by the war memorial at the top of Frodsham Hill for all to see and to remember the death of Jesus Christ, so we give thanks for the one who offers life in all its fulness.
Today we remember all who grieve, all who struggle. We pray for peace and light where there seems to be none, waiting for a glimmer of hope that will, no doubt, appear as we wait in the gloom and darkness of the day.

CHURCHES TOGETHER IN FRODSHAM GOOD FRIDAY WALK
..begins at 10am outside Main Street Community Church where we will be reading a short portion of the Good Friday account from the Bible, followed by a reflection from a Bible character.

We will then walk with a large wooden cross, and pause for reflections outside the Bear's Paw and again at Eddisbury Square, before ascending to St Laurence's for a cuppa and a hot cross bun.

Rev Elaine will then pray us off and we make our way to the top of the hill where we will place the cross at the War Memorial railings. Here, Rev Scott Manning from King's Church will lead a short reflection.

On Easter Sunday we plan to gather by the War Memorial at 7am when Rev Gordon Gresswell will lead a short Easter celebration. If the weather is too windy to be on the hill, we will decamp to Frodsham Methodist Church...but the plan is to be on the Hill.

It’s Easter Journey time again!

Year five children from 12 local primary schools will be coming along to MSCC this week to journey through the events of the last week of Jesus’ life on earth in an interactive way. Our 20th year, with just one year out for Covid, and run by a team Frodsham Churches Together, we always look forward to welcoming the children to hear of these events.
