We are a Christian retreat centre based in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, on the Wilford Peninsula
We moved to our new home in January 2022, and we are loving our new adventure in Shottisham. The place by the water is a space to take time to be with God: whether it be to refocus in the stillness of a retreat, to come before our Lord in prayer, to go deeper into His word in study, discover your

creative side in one of our many craft workshops or spend time in fellowship where refreshments and food can be provided. ​

Our new location offers -
-a space to take time to be with God
- to refocus in the stillness of a retreat;
- to come before our Lord in prayer;
- to go deeper in His word in study;
- to discover your creative side in one of our many craft workshops;
- to spend time in fellowship with wonderful food and refreshment. We do not charge for any of these facilities but we do accept donations to cover costs.

What an incredible weekend, we were blessed with amazing people, fantastic weather and some incredible workshops and worship. So many thankyous to people who gave their all to ensure it all ran smoothly. A massive thank you to John McGinley, who shared his weekend with us. His wisdom, teaching and willingness to engage with our madness at The Place by the Water. (He is now an honoury member of The Water Crew)

Thank you also to St Margaret's Church Shottisham for allowing us to use the church to worship in - a very special time.

Day one of our Wonderfully Made weekend, and so many chances to be creative and encounter God through nature, clay modelling, gardening, scripture, worship and photography. Thank you so much to John McGinley for joining us, and sharing such an amazing testimony.

At our Wonderfully Made afternoon on Saturday from 2pm, you are able to turn your creativity to dry clay modelling. All of the materials are provided. It is a wonderful way to create with our hands, and remember the beautiful scripture of God creating us. Isaiah 64v8.

Other activities include photography (spare kit available for those who would like to try it out) And creating a summer garden planter or hanging basket. We'd love to welcome you. Please book using link below

One of the workshops for our Wonderfully Made weekend 30th - 31st May, involves a guided photography walk in our beautiful countryside. Kit can be loaned, or bring your own cameras, lenses or camera phones. Starting at 2PM, the walk will last about an hour, with refreshments on return to The Place by the Water. Graham can then help and advise on editing your photos. Please remember to bring sunhat, sun cream, long trousers and walking shoes as although the ground is flat and dry, we still want to keep you safe. Please sign up below

This Sunday at Reflections we will be holding a Pentecost party, with a buffet starting at 6pm.
