Today on the Pentecost, we received Andrew into the Orthodox Church by Chrismation. Welcome Andrew!!
We also welcomed Deacon Catalin and his lovely family to our church.

Hello everyone!
I am safely home after a wonderful pilgrimage in Italy!
We look forward to seeing you all in church on Sunday - for the great feast of Pentecost, when we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit 50 days after the Resurrection.
Traditionally the Pentecost Liturgy is followed by the ‘Kneeling Prayers’, so this week we will begin Matins shortly after 9 o’clock, with the Liturgy starting at about 10.
Do try and arrive in church at that time.
In the Liturgy after the sermon l will be receiving Andrew Tipping into the Orthodox Church by chrismation: please pray for him.

This is the Apolytikion prayer for Pentecost:
“Blessed are You, O Christ our God. You sent down the Holy Spirit into the fishermen, and You gave them knowledge and wisdom in everything; and through them, as in a net You caught the whole world. O Lord who loves humanity, glory to You!”

Today l was able to venerate the relics of St Nicholas! This 12 day pilgrimage to Italy has been amazingly wonderful!

St Mark & St Fotini Folkestone
Fr David says Greetings from Venice - where I have been able to pray before the relics of St Mark!
On Sunday I will be in Rome, so my friend Fr Peter from Margate will be coming to serve the Divine Liturgy in Folkestone. Matins 9.15am. Divine Liturgy 10.15am-11.30am followed by refreshments.
